One Great Winch

Just witnessed a tragedy every boater hopes would never happen to them. While winching up and loading a nice boat on the trailer, the winch strap snapped! That's when I double checked my rusty ol' winch and took a good look at it and thought - I could definitely be next! Did the review thing and decided I would go with this one: Fulton 142208. Right out of the box, I could tell it was nicer than my old one. Got the old one off which wasn't as bad as I thought it would be in it's rusty weathered condition. The new one was a breeze to put on, although, I did have to remove the reel for better access. I've never done this before - so those of you who have been through this are probably thinking - Duh! Bolted the new one on, reattached the reel. I attached the clip to the bow eye and cranked until the strap was taut. The strap is not wound on the reel tight at all so, use caution there. Definitely alleviated my fear of having a strap break while winching up my boat! I am very pleased with this winch and hopefully won't have to buy one again; but if I do, I wouldn't hesitate purchasing this one again. (I purchased this item myself and this is my personal unbiased review.)

Quality well-built Competitive pricing.

Love it. Looks good and strong enough to crank my boat up on the trailer. Latch mechanism seems pretty strong versus the garbage I bought from tractor supply that Cost more than this winch. I bought their Double wheel trailer jack since I love this product so much and it works great. Durable

Great winch so far. Very happy with it but

Just wish it had an extra mounting hole on the back for those stubborn bow supports. And also it isn't friendly with the supports that go over and hug the winch that you see on loadrite models, wish there was an option for non nylon/poly seat belt blend but that is what they all do now a days if the sun's heat and uv rays. Nothing is stronger and holds up longer than the seat belt nylon but the yellow full polyester ones are better for long winding as they don't get tangled and wrapped already the great. The great thing with this winch is the covers prevent that Also the selection switch is nice and very robust. The whole unit doesn't feel cheap and is very robust and had a great price. I'm going fulton all the time now

Fulton Boat Winch

Replaced a 1000# very, very old Fulton winch with this model. Bolt holes for installation matched up well. Easy to remove old one and replace with this model. A lot more pulling power than the older model because of the design. Pleased with Fulton's craftsmanship and products. Would definitely recommend.

Great quality and value

I built a boat trailer and put a cheap $35 winch on it. What a waste. It jammed and gave me nothing but trouble. So I replaced it with this Fulton winch. What a difference! The build quality is great, and it's rock solid. No problems whatsoever. I just bought 2 more for other projects I'm working on. I highly recommend it.

Very nice, does nothing include hardware

Very nice fit for my 14 ft game fisher, I dident ready the description too good it did not include hardware luckily I had it from my old one. Which was on my trailer for 22 years also a Fulton

Worked great on my 18.5 Tracker Targa. It’s a big boat with two motors and my wife can crank the boat up with ease. Looks nice too. Took about 3 minutes to install.
