What you need to know about this jacket compared to the Levi’s

In my quest to find a replacement for my black Levi’s denim jacket, I scoured the Internet and read hundreds of reviews. I was never happy with the Levi’s jacket. The sleeves were always too long and it fit very boxy. Denim jackets that come in black have a more limited selection than the classic blue color. I am 5’08” 165lb thin but muscular with wider shoulders, so I always wear a large. Reviews on this specific jacket were mixed. Some people writing that the waist line is too high. Since the jacket was on sale and I could return it if I wasn’t happy, I figured I’d take a chance. I ordered the large. The jacket arrived in a clear plastic bag with a tiny shipping label. As soon as I put the jacket on it fit perfectly. -The sleeves are a proper fitted length not too long, they come down to my wrists stopping at my hands. Unlike the long sleeved Levi’s jacket. -The collar on the jacket is just right. The one of my Levi’s used to turn and bend like doggy ears. And on the back of the collar of the Levi’s, it would always crimp up. -The front inside pockets are sunk in about 2 inches so your keys will not in advertently fall out if you’re sitting. -There is enough room in the top pockets to fit an iPhone 13 as pictured. -Inside the jacket there are two cavernous pockets behind the outside pockets. -The jacket sits perfectly at my waist it is not too high. If you have a long torso, it might sit a little too high for you. -The back of the jacket at the bottom has the ubiquitous double button to adjust the waist. -Buttoning the jacket, which I almost never do is not that difficult, because the button holes are large enough to accommodate the metal buttons. As a whole, the jacket fits trimmer than the large Levi’s jacket, which is cut like an extra large size. -The color of the jacket is not a stark black. It looks like it’s been washed many times, so it’s a little faded. Some jackets are stiff when you put them on this was soft right out of the bag. In summation, this is a proper denim jacket. Good work Gap!

I didn't expect much, but it is well constructed and the denim has good weight. I'm 6'1" and the large is perfect for my build.

For those tall or Big guys, this jacket is Short.

This jacket is the perfect color, the fabric is excellent, and the quality is superb and flexible. the only problem I had is that I am 6'3" (192cm). the jacket touches the top of my belt line, it's just about an inch or two short (3-5cm). I wish they made it longer. So I will settle for another one.

Very stiff denim

The denim jacket itself is very nice but the denim fabric is very thick and stiff. I have washed it several times now and it is still very thick and somewhat uncomfortable.

Me gustó

Me pareció muy bonita. Creo que tiene un mejor diseño de “desgaste” o “lavado” en vivo que en las imágenes. Pedí la talla M y me quedó muy bien. Las mangas son poco amplias pero eso me gusta aún más. La silueta parece ser cónica y corta. La verdad si esta muy agradable el corte y la prenda es cómoda. Ah y tiene bolsillos interiores.

Demasiado corta de lo largo

La chamarra es demasiado corta del tronco, el corte parece más adecuado para un cuerpo de mujer. Revisa bien las fotos del modelo, creí que tal vez me quedaría, pero no. De ahí en fuera, la mezclilla es buena

El corte no es para cualquiera

Si te gusta el estilo corto del torso y amplio de las mangas esta chamarra es para ti. En mi caso mido 1.70m y peso 72 kg y la talla chica me quedo bien. La mezclilla es ligeramente expandible, de buena calidad y el color deslavado muy bonito, se siente ligera y muy cómoda ya sea para temporada de calor o frio (tendrás que usar un suéter o sudadera abajo).

Un poco reducida
