fixed my grill
The original regulator developed a tear after over a decade of use. It was difficult to remove but, once off, this replacement was easy to install. The grill works great now and the extra hose length is a plus.

Fast shipping, great price, completely fixed my grill!
My five-burner grill would light but would never get hot. I tried resetting the regulator a few times and it made no difference. I replaced the faulty regulator with this one and the grill is back to its original condition again. It only took about 4 minutes to remove the old regulator and put on the new one.

It worked.
If your gas/propane grill is not getting hot, buy one of these and it will likely solve your problem. The one I bought for 15$ from Home Depot only got my grill to 250. This one got my grill up to 550.

edit
Original: The regulator leaks. The seal is in place and has a nice tight connection, but still leaks. I can't afford to keep refilling my propane just to let it float away, besides the obvious danger involved. Maybe I just got unlucky and got a bad one, but the one I got is a 1 star product. EDITED: Nope, it was the gas cylinder, not the regulator. 5 stars for disparaging this innocent hose.

Fixed the problem
The flame on our grill went from high to low overnight and soon would not light at all. This replacement regulator fixed the problem for our "Backyard Grill" brand model GBC1429W.

Regulator doesn't regulate!
I bought this product to replace a faulty regulator of my old BBQ. It is a good value for money and was easy to install but it has a serious problem. It is making the grill way too hot...even at 'Low' burner setting! My experience was confirmed by some of the reviews on the site. The first time I used to grill chicken on the grill, it was burning the chicken as it turned black but when I tasted it, the drumsticks weren't cooked on the inside. Regulator is not regulating the flow of propane properly. Unfortunately, I will have to return it and look for something else.

Seems to work
Just rec’d my order and installed it right away. Easy plug and play install. The valve seems allow more fuel to burners than I am used to, actually sounds similar to a blow torch on high but is easily controlled with the front knobs. I installed on a Weber E300 series that was only two years old and it always took forever to heat up so this original valve may have been faulty from the start. Only concern is if it is burning hotter than normal - could it “burn out” the heat deflectors prematurely. I will update this review if I find a problem in future. UPDATE: valve definitely allows a lot more fuel through. If I am not careful I am concerned I will damage the BBQ . Eg- preheated on medium for 5 minutes and when I opened the lid the heat deflectors were bright red hot and grill was starting to glow. Going to have to replace this valve again.

Simple fix
The media could not be loaded. 10+y/o bbq ran out of gas. Changed it over like I do we cry time. Hooked up the new full tank, couldn’t get it over 200c. One burner would start full juice, then started 2nd burner, now 50% flame on each. Started the 3rd burned now all at 33% each. Barely on, with wood match type heat. Charged the fuel regulator, full flame 5oo+C. Fixed. Two adjustable wrenches, break the nut, hand thread it back on and snug tight. It’s a compression fitting. Nothing to foul up here.

Question the flow rate on this product (too hot)
Bought to replace a damaged regulator on my Weber Spirit E 300 series. The only concern I have is it seems to have a very high flow rate, as the heat output is waaaayy too high. I can only run burners just above minimum or the temperature reaches 600+ degrees Fahrenheit. Will be looking for an authentic Weber regulator during the off season as i feel this one might not be safe. Edit: I now KNOW its not safe. This regulator makes my barbecue way too hot. Do not buy!

Highly recommended
I was hesitant to buy this regulator based on reviews stating excessive pressure and comparing it to a blow torch. When I received it, it appeared to be high quality and good contruction. It even had an additional rubber o-ring in the fitting for a better seal that my original part didn't have. It was super easy to install with a wrench and literally took me one minute to install. To my surprise, my bbq ignited better than it ever has since new - because of the higher pressure. But it wasn't excessive by any means. Also I have more flame control than I had before. I get a hotter flame at full open valve but am still able to take it down to almost no flame at all. So I have more range control with no added risk. Im sure all bbqs are different and others had ligitimate concerns. But its worth a try on yours. I am super happy with my purchase!
