Amazing!!!!

I have been struggling to find a gel that works for my hair. This one is great! It does has a little bit of a learning curve (it’s very thick works best for me in dripping wet hair). My hair looks better than anything else I have tried. It does have a strong hold but it does completely crunch out do you aren’t stuck with that crunchy plaster feeling. Makes my hair shiny and have lots of volume. I have fine, medium density 3/a-3b hair with bleached ends and natural roots lol. Will definitely be buying more.

Expensive but good

It's expensive, but it works well. Wish the price would be a little lower but I've been using this brand for over a year.

Just your average gel

I ordered this thinking it was the answer to my naturally curly hair because soany people DO LIKE IT.....I have good amount of hair but each individual piece is thin so idk if it was just not good for my type or what but it just worked the same as any other cheap gel IMO......I have just given 4 stars because I just didn't see anything extraordinary or standout about it . But it's fine though ☺️

Me encanto , lo utilizo para dar una mejor terminación a mi pelo rizado, tiene buena fragancia, te protege el pelo pues queda suave el cabello así que lo recomiendo

This is the best gel for me. I live in Florida and cannot use products with glycerin. This gel has great hold and is glycerin free. I love it

Great for curly haired gals (with instructions on how to use it with curly hair)

I have curly hair and finding products that work well without weighing it down, making it oily or making it feel stiff & cement like is hard. This is the best I've found and I've tried the more expensive brands like Aveda (several of their varied products), other natural brands, and even some of the mainstream brands that don't have as awful of ingredients as most. This is the one I always go back to and have done for at least 6 years now. I apply it while my hair is still wet after I've combed out any tangles. I put about a silver dollar sized blob in my hand and make sure its applied to the ends, the underside (this gives more body), the top (to keep frizz away) and the area around my face (to better hold curly shapes there). I then scrunch my hair to enable the curls and let my hair mostly air dry. After at least 20 minutes (if not longer) I blow dry my hair upside down while scrunching it, sometimes putting a light layer of hairspray on while upside down, blow-drying and scrunching. I then flip back up, do a bit more scrunch drying while right side up, maybe do a bit more light hairspray then I'm done. This gives great hold without feeling stiff or crunchy (obviously the amount & type of hair spray makes a difference too) and it will last the day, even into the next day (I don't wash it daily & you shouldn't either if you're a curly haired gal). As far as hair spray goes, use something that says light hold or brush through - less likely to make it stiff and crunchy. You also want to use a super strong conditioner, like the ones for damaged hair, as it will also help keep your curls nourished and curly vs. frizzy. If you have to shower daily don't shampoo daily, skip shampoo and only wet it or just do conditioner on the ends. Over shampooing will absolutely frizz out your curls. Some people recommend only shampooing once per week. I like every 3 days or so for my hair, but again, I use both shampoo and conditioner for damaged hair as it will prevent drying out. Even with the damaged hair type shampoo's you still don't want to shampoo daily. If you have a greasy scalp then just apply it only to your scalp, not the lengths of your hair if shampooing more frequently. This is my current favorite shampoo and conditioner:Giovanni 2Chic Ultra Repair Shampoo, Blackberry and Coconut Milk, 1.5 Fluid Ounce However, it has a smoky (incense like) coconut scent, so if you don't like that then try the one of the same brand but that comes in the green or brown bottle as those have lighter scents.

No more frizz!

Started the curly girl method and used this product after washing. I have curly hair usually frizzy and unmanageable. I am following the curly girl regime and photos are before and after. First picture is before and 2nd is on day 3 after washing my hair. Gel used after washing and daily to refresh my curls and remove frizz. This is an amazing product.

No glycerine

I bought this product as it doesn't contain glycerine, I have curly hair and glycerine causes frizz for me. I got a pretty good cast which scrunched out easily. The only downside is that the gel is very thick and I had to do a lot of emulsifying with water to apply it to my hair.

Have bought repeatedly

I love this gel. On Amazon some times the price is £13 something, which is too expensive for this gel and in comparison to other websites. But you'd have to pay P&P, and with Amazon Prime, you know the item will arrive asap. This time I managed to buy it on Amazon for £9 something, ???? bargain. Will buy again. The gel is powerful and helps my good Type3c hair, wash and go styles. As the gel is so strong, I mix it with my Uncle Funkys Daughter Gel... Might be suitable for slick down styles as well.

Perfektes Kombi-Produkt

Ich behandele nun seit ca. 6 Monaten meine Haare nach der Curly Girl Method und bin bei meiner Recherche über YouTube auf eine Empfehlung gestoßen, Giovanni Gel in Kombination mit dem Bounce Curl Light Creme Gel zu benutzen. Und was soll ich sagen - BOMBE. Ich habe feines gelocktes (europäisch) Haar, Typ 2c/3a und muß immer aufpassen, dass die Produkte meine Haare nicht zu sehr beschweren. Das Produkt alleine funktioniert leider nicht so gut, aber mit o.g. Gel zusammen ist es echt super. Es definiert die Locken und gibt Ihnen einen tollen Halt (bis zu 5 Tage ohne Waschen). Ich frische die Haare nur mit Wasser (Spraybottle) und evtl. ein wenig von den beiden Produkten auf. In der Regel sehen die Haare am 2. & 3. Tag am besten aus. Ich werde das Giovanni Gel auch noch mit weiteren Produkten (Deva Curl, Shea Moisture, Curl Keeper, Cantu, Kinky Curl usw.) in Kombination testen. Mal sehen, welche Erfahrungen ich mache. In diesem Kontext, kann ich das Produkt auf jeden Fall sehr empfehlen.

Great for fine wavy hair

Love this product! Great for the Curly Girl Method on a budget or for straight hair. The product is really lightweight within losing its efficiency and doesn't feel like its leaving a layer of gunk on your hair. Its also really easy to use and goes onto wet hair really nicely. It also seems to really help with frizz!
