Extremely good value and product

Use these multiple times per week cycling. I’ve have ACL sx and these take care of any meniscus pain from the stress of pedaling. For the $ I don’t know what anyone would buy another brand. I’ll be buying again when mine wear out. Thanks for a Well made affordable product.

Worth a Try, but Results May Vary …

I’m someone who is willing to experiment with tools and techniques designed to alleviate pain and discomfort from working out. I have found that some techniques work quite well … for me (band flossing and tempering, for example). The SHOCK DOCTOR PATELLA STRAP, does what it says it will do: provide compression to the patella. While I did not experience any noticeable result, it may be the solution to someone else’s problem. WHAT IT IS A simple design of neoprene strap with a Velcro closure and a rubber foam pad (the thickness of a pencil) inserted inside that is designed to accommodate cushion the patellar knee tendon. You simply wrap the strap around your knee so the pad is on the boney area at the start of the shin. They are sold individually, not as a pair. HOW IT PERFORMS The biggest concern for such a strap would be its ability to fit and stay in place when active. The neoprene material provides a decent stretch and can accommodate both small and larger legs. I found the strap to be comfortable, but I don’t like the simple Velcro holding method that may cause it to pull apart more easily than a looped/belt like design. The patella cushion does conform to the patella tendon and feels good. I have those “knots” below the knees, so I guess I had Osgood Schlatter “disease” as a kid. While the knots under my knees do not hurt, it isn’t comfortable to kneel on a hard surface. I do not have a need for the pad, but some may find it beneficial. From a compression standpoint, the strap offers marginal benefit for me, but would prefer a looped/belt strap to control and generate more compression. But, from a comfort standpoint, this strap provides adequate tightness without “digging” into your legs. I think the cost of the strap warrants giving it a try; sometimes something simple and inexpensive is the answer to pain or discomfort that has lasted years.
