LOVE this little thing
I use it everyday! It is way overpriced though. You can get a set of 5 of them for just a smidgen more. I didn't need five. It washes easily by hand and is ready for the next meal.

Overpriced and unyielding
ETA: While I’m happy this has no staining issues (tomato, turmeric, etc) it has, after a month of use, begun to badly absorb odors. This may be the nature of silicone but the problem is my other similar silicone tools aren’t suffering as badly. I run this through the dishwasher at its beefiest setting but the odor remains. I won’t be buying any more GIR. Purchased in 8” teal. (It’s more aqua blue than a true teal as there’s almost no green here). I adore using smaller than usual utensils; it works better for my height/small hands and as I didn’t begin cooking until later in life, it’s never been an adjustment to downsize from the standard sizes. This brand first caught my eye since they offer mini sizes and are carried by many popular retailers… While I am not displeased with the purchase as this is well made, sturdy, and has good edges, now that I have other mini silicone utensils from different manufacturers, I am somewhat baffled by GIR’s price point. I’m not sure what GIR is doing with materials and craftsmanship that other equally reputable brands are not? I think they make nice things but their greatest feat may be splashy marketing. I avoid the fly-by-night sellers/brands (though virtually everything is made in China, even GIR’s products) but as of yet don’t find GIR’s goods discernibly superior from their competitors. Usually you ultimately get what you pay for so maybe this will last for years I’ll come back and revise my review. They do claim their silicone is heat proof up to 550, which is about 100 degrees higher than the typical recommended safe temp. Dunno. This spoon is *not at all flexible* so do note that. I’m still on the lookout for silicone utensils that have just a wee bit more give to them; it’s really strangely difficult to find one of these that isn’t way too bendy or extremely rigid— for me, somewhere right in the middle makes the most versatile tool. This is as much a scraper as a spoon… which somewhat wastes silicone’s unique capabilities. If you want absolute rigidity, the market is already flooded with inflexible nylon, wood and stainless tools.

Convenient, effective, attractive
I am very particular about my spoonulas and spatulas. They have to remove all of the food effectively and easily, and this one does. With no bare handle, I hope that the handle will never come off or warp. In addition, the color is lovely. I highly recommend this and those in the other sizes.

LOVE These!
I have several of these and they are so handy to have. From getting the last of the peanut butter or jam out of a jar, to preventing scorching when heating up a can of creamy soup, you will find these are just the perfect size. Since I was constantly having to retrieve mine from the dishwasher, I bought a couple more so I would have clean ones ready for use. I like mine so much that I bought a pair of them for my daughter since the "teal" matches the kitchen in her new home. The GIR brand is getting it right by making quality products, many of which are unique.

It's a spatula! It's a spoon! It's the best eating utensil for yogurt, smoothies and so on...
...also works for porridge, softer ice cream, or anything where something is so good that you want to lick the plate afterwards, but dislike the constant scraping of utensils on porcelain. Bought this for a child who would scrape their plate in the car, driving the drive up the wall. This was the answer AND I totally fell in love with it. Scooping cookie dough onto a sheet? Check. Scooping batter into a cake form? Check. Scooping and smearing the mayonnaise onto the burger buns? Check. Getting the last of anything out of anything? Check. Scooping the smoothie out of the blender and then using it to east it from the glass, getting every last little bit? Check. Dishwasher-safe? Yep. This is what I buy for my Secret Santas, the no-fail what-do-I-buy-for-the-teacher? gifts, the what-do-I-buy-for-them-they-have-everything gifts, and so on. Different lengths just mean that there are even more uses for it.

the front part of the spoon is really flexible like a rubber knife
the first front 1/2in of the spoon has no center support so it is really flexible. may be a problem if you need to scrap alittle. But it is the perfect size for cooking on small pans so i really like it.

Great spatula
I didn't think this spatula would be that different, but it is. I love that it's completely made of silicone. And, the size is perfect because it's in between all the other spatulas that I have. Works great.
