Easy to access

This item was purchased to hold onions on our kitchen island. It works well for that, since the baskets are angle and make for easy access. The baskets and stand are VERY sturdy.

Poorly Made - Disappointed TWICE

So disappointed TWICE. The first one came in, and I was so excited. It had so much potential, but unfortunately, the two frames that hold the baskets did not align properly which prevented the "catch mechanism" from securing the top frame to the bottom one. I sent it back and requested a replacement. The replacement arrived and this time the pieces that the long screw is supposed to fit it didn't properly align and even if they did, it wouldn't have mattered because the one welded on, scratched hollow piece didn't even allow enough room for the screw to pass through it to meet up with the other two hollow pieces. Again, SO DISAPPOINTED. Had this been made properly, it would have been beautiful.

good enough for storage

I decided to not use this as a fruit basket, but rather a mismatched sock holder in the bedroom. I never have had a good place to put them but in here is better than in a laundry basket hidden somewhere! Socks don't have much weight of course, so I can't comment on the weigh holding capacity, however it is a good looking basket. The moveable latch is a little iffy, so it's maybe not as sturdy as I'd want, but again with the purpose I'm using it for, I don't really run into issues. With heavier objects I could see an issue with this however.

Great Decor for Kitchen Counter

The media could not be loaded. The Gourmet Basics by Mikasa Flip Adjustable Fruit Storage Basket isn't perfect but is very nice... The one movable latch doesn't always stay inn place and if you pick up the entire food rack by the top handle and the latch isn't secure... watch out... They painted the entire long screw including the threads which means I had to use a wrench to pre-screw ally the end cap and remove it to get rid of the extra paint on the threads before doing it for real on the storage rack itself. Once you overcome the two aforementioned problems it looks good and does an amazing job of keeping your food organized very nice and it looks and feels very good. Looks great and efficient storage of fruit and veggies

Love this basket set it looks really nice and can be configured tall or wide. Holds all sorts of fruit and veggies and looks good doing it. Veggies out of the garden last a lot longer in a well ventilated area and this does well doing that. The each basket also perfectly hold four 2-pint canning jars.

Cute storage for small space

I downsized from a big house to a smaller apartment. The kitchen has a lot less space than the house's kitchen. I had this whole tower of fruit baskets at the house. When I saw this, it is basically a mini version of that (with fewer baskets). I really like the way fruit keeps and looks in this style basket so I went for this one. It took a few minutes to put together, and it was ready to go. It is small, so it doesn't take up a whole lot of counter space and it's taller than wide which is also a bonus for small space, but it's large enough that the fruit is obvious when you're looking for a snack and might be chosen before something less healthy. I have to say it worked, since two of my family ate fruit out of it within an hour of me filling it (and they'll go weeks without eating fruit!) The baskets filled held: 4 bananas and 3 oranges in the top basket; and 6 peaches and 4 bananas in the bottom. I probably could have put a few tomatoes or kiwis in there if I had them, but not much more. It looks really nice, decorative even, with the various colors of fruit.
