Plastic sleeve replaces older metal to metal contact.

Needed to replace the cartridge and unfortinately I couldn't get one out without drilling it away through the handle. Too much metal on metal bonding. So I bought these replacements which are OEM but are a newer version. This is exactly because of my issue wher the metal on metal is impossible to separate. The new version has a plastic sleeve that sits between the cartridge and the handle presumably to prevent them sticking together forever. Description should explain this and Grohe has a lot to learn on their website about how to tell customers about these things and issues such as this. I spent a lot of time researching how to remove this handle only to brute force it. Hopefully next time around I wont have so much trouble. The first cartridge lasted about 10 years before leaking so if the 2nd one is as good, then removing these handles will hopefully be much simpler.

Nice solid faucet handles

Solid handles. Plastic hot/cold markers are a bit cheap but overall well constructed. I bought the faucet and handles and had all needed parts. IIRC, the screws came with the faucet. Got my chrome ones quickly.

These handles fit just fine, but the faucet itself was not the typical Grohe quality I expected. Will probably not buy again.

Missing screws

NIce looking, high quality but there are no screws to assemble. My plumber did not have them either. Grohe support diid not help.

These handles do not come with the set screws you need

The handles come off in your hand if you gently pull straight up. The handle should come with set screws that attach the handle to the valve stem. However, these screws are not provided and good luck finding them at the hardware store. I called the manufacturer, thinking that they would at least be able to buy the screws from them, but unfortunately Grohe doesn't stand behind its products. They put me on hold, and then they were openly hostile and dismissive to me. They told me I didn't know what I was talking about, and that those handles didn't require set screws. When I described the handles I had, I was told those were "very old handles" and they don't sell the screws. Ridiculous.

Buyer beware

As other sellers have indicated, these handles are missing an adaptor (clearly indicated on the diagram for the faucet) that allows them to be connected. The part cannot be ordered separately. I had to re-order the handles from someone else to have something that actually could work.

Handles are well made, but do not come with screws to attach to the valve. Grohe website includes the wrong information and is USLESS.
