Tips on Installing New Handle
I love the Grohe LadyLux faucet. That said, after owning one for 15+ years, hard water corrosion necessitated a new, black coated handle, which I ordered from Amazon. Piece of cake, I thought! Long story short, plumber #1 couldn’t remove the old handle’s hex screw, since we live on a well with very hard water here in AZ and the hex was very seized up. Hubby then tried to use HIS Allen wrench — no go, nuh uh, nada, zip, zilch… We are selling our house, and drastic times call for drastic measures, so I thought, self, just peel the rest of the black coating off and the handle will look brand new, albeit it will be a silver handle. Lo and behold, I started doing just that but that same day, the faucet had finally gotten so jammed up with gunk in the faucet head’s screen filter, water was barely flowing from it. So I called fancy plumbers from Scottsdale and vetted them to make sure they worked on Grohe faucets and they made a service call today. Their visit blew my mind! Plumber cleaned out and cleaned up the faucet and got the water flowing nicely again, but could not get the hex off with his Allen wrench. From my research, I mentioned and sent him a YouTube video by a homeowner who finally just DRILLED the hex out. My plumber didn’t like the way the drill was working when he tried to do this, so he decided to HACKSAW the hex off (gulp!) and, by gum, it worked!!!!!!! Now, I WOULD NOT recommend this to those of little experience but I now have a LadyLux faucet that looks brand spankin’ new! Oh, and by the way, a 2.5 mm Allen wrench is needed to take that hex off (not 3 mm) and to screw in the new one for the replacement handle. Boy, what an experience!! ????????

Rating Combined with My Rating for Grohe Ceramic Water Filter
Entire review included with My review of "Grohe Ceramic Water Filter. Anyway, to summarize ..... Grohe Makes Great Products & I needed to replace the Handle & Ceramic Filter after having used for 19 - years. As Luck would have it, We saved $210. by replacing These two(2) Parts as opposed to having had to replace the entire Faucet assembly & ..... Plumbing Co$t$ were minimal ..... Took < than 5 - Minutes. Respectfully Submitted !!! ................................................... Paul Tarantino

Its Black, Installation Tips
The description says "no finish" but after reading the other reviews, I took a chance and it arrived with a hard black finish. While not the soft finish of the original, it is virtually indistinguishable and looks great. This was a great buy at $68 compared to $80-$110 for the other more clearly labeled choices. Have not had enough use to see any wear. It comes with a parts diagram which is handy but I noted the key issue was getting the attachment screw out. Tried the 3mm hex key and switched to a 1/4" drive metric socket on a screwdriver handle which provides much better leverage w/o too much to break it. Heard a few pops initially and it turned out to be from the nylon lock washer. Put a touch of grease on the replacement screw to keep it from seizing up in the future.

Love Grohe!
I love that I can still buy replacement parts for my Grohe faucet! And before you say... how good could it be if you have to buy replacement parts? My Lady Lux is 24 years old and the only parts that have been replaced are the handles because it gets used a lot... works like the day she was installed. Thank you Grohe!

Correct part, can't remove old part!
I have the "GROHE 33 755 KD0 Ladylux Cafe Pull-Out Kitchen Faucet" and this is the correct replacement part. The black coating is wearing off the original, so I ordered this replacement. I was unable to remove the original handle as, after 10 years if use, it seems to have fused to the part it connects to. I didn't want to break it, so I stopped trying to remove it. The next time a plumber is at my house, I'll see if they can work the old handle free so I can install the new one. My point is... you may want to see if you can remove the old handle before you order a new one!

This handle/lever is fine. It is what we ordered
This handle/lever is fine. It is what we ordered. Getting it on the faucet (replacing it) is another story. There has to be a trick to this. More instructions or YouTube videos would be helpful. We have had this item for at least two weeks and it is still not installed.

Looks New Again
Grohe products are expensive, and usually well made. I was disappointed that the faucet needed a replacement handle after just 4 years! The price on Amazon was the same as my local plumbing supply company, but was available without delay. Not real easy to do, but after some effort I was able to replace the handle and it looks great. Hope it lasts longer than the original. My son purchased a Grohe without the soft coating on handle and sprayer. Wish I had done the same.

Faucet looks a lot newer!
Had to replace the old handle because the paint was chipping off. As long as the screw comes out it takes just a few seconds. Came with a diagram and extra parts for the handle connection to the cartridge (if needed).
