Not Good for Much Besides Zucchini
This does a beautiful job of making "zoodles", but honestly my intention in buying a spiralizer was to make all kinds of vegetable noodles. I attempted a butternut squash and it was a huge hassle trying to push it through (the squash was cut down to size for the chute; the blades just weren't sharp enough to slice through the "meat") and the spirals didn't come out clean. I would assume, then, that a sweet potato would also be too hard of a vegetable for the blades too; I'm not keen on attempting it since the squash was such a mess. It totally mangled the bell pepper I tried to feed through as well. Like I said, gorgeous zucchini spirals though. Looks like others have had luck with carrots. I also think the ribbon blade cuts too thick, but I suppose that's just preference. It's neither easy or difficult to clean. Anyway, if you had dreams of spiralizing just about any vegetable you could think of, this is not your machine; get a $15 crank spiralizer.

So much easier
I used to make a lot of spiralized veggies, using my Paderno manual, horizontal spiralizer. I gave up after a while because it's not easy to use unless you have short, perfectly straight veggies. It's also not super easy to clean, and makes a mess on the countertop. I've recently started craving zoodles again :) so I went on the hunt for something easier to use, figuring that by now, they should have optimized the process. Saw this electric, vertical one, figured it was cheap enough to try. I only got it yesterday, so I've only used it once, today, to make zucchini and carrot noodles. And oh my, holy zoodle, it was SO.EASY and seamless. First, assembly is very, very easy and only takes a few seconds. Then I ran my (big) zucchini through it and ended up with perfect zoodles in a minute. No effort at all. Just put it in the chute, press the pusher into it (lightly), push the button once, and down it goes into the bowl in perfect zoodles. No half moons either. Then I did two carrots. So that was a little less perfect because they weren't thick enough (you want the thick and straight ones to spiralize, I only had long, thin(ish), cone-shape ones). But I cut them in half and only spiralized the thickest half, and they came out great. Having a free hand means I was also able to munch on the other half in the meantime. They did take more time than the zucchini because they're not as soft. But all in all it took less than 5 minutes total. The only con is the size of the leftover core. Bigger than with the Paderno, but a funnier shape. I'll just roast them with my dish and use them as decoration. Or cut them up and add them to a salad. I'd throw them in a soup if I were making one today. Washing was also very easy and quick. I did use a little brush that came with another appliance. You could use a toothbrush. Compared to the Paderno, this was so much easier, comfortable and fast. No hand hurting because you have to awkwardly hold the veggie while pushing it with the same hand and cranking with the other. No awkward cuts (half moons) because your zucchini isn't perfectly straight and centered. No zoodles and bits on the countertop. Cleaning is also much, much easier. I'd probably still use the Paderno for some things. Like veggies too big to fit the HB (beets) or to soft to be spiralized from the side (bell peppers), or too hard for the HB power (not sure what, maybe winter squashes). Or when I want a finer cut (wish there was one on the HB).

Game changer! A bit difficult to clean though
Fantastic & I’m recommending to everyone who is trying to kick off carbs. I’ve used manual ones but soft texture veggies like squash always turned to mush. Not in this one. My 1 deducted star is that it’s a little difficult to clean because small grits of vegetables get caught on inside the rim of the machine once you remove the attachable parts. I twist wet paper towels to wipe those off. Not a deal breaker though. Overall very happy with it.

Spirals in Seconds
Easy to use and makes spiralizing a breeze. I looked into the manual ones but for a few extra bucks, it was so worth it to get this one. Easy to clean and store. I can zoodle an entire zucchini in seconds with very little waste.

Not usually a fan of unitaskers
I kind of couldn't believe I was buying a dedicated appliance for making zucchini noodles? But honestly it's great, and I'd never make them if I had to crank them out by hand. The noodles are really long because it slices continuously. It makes making them cheap and as fast as making regular pasta is. I haven't tried it on anything else, I have my doubts about how well it would handle harder foods. It's simple to clean.

Best spiralizer , easy to use and clean
Love it , firstly purchase Kitchenaid spiralizer $200 from the Canadian tire and didn’t like it , Too bulky, the vegetables need to be cut to small pierce prior This works just perfect and I can use an entire vegetable to spiralize . Good quality , easy to clean , fast shipping Thank you

Il n'a jamais été aussi facile de faire des spirales de carottes. J'étais septique, j'ai débuté par des zucchinis et ensuitees carottes. Je reviens pas encore. Je vous le recommande.
