Expensive, but if you're dealing with low water pressure, it does help
Our master bathroom shower has always had weak pressure, ever since we made an ill fated decision to go with a mixer that combined the shower and body spray functions in one, with a diverter valve between the two. This shower head provides great coverage, and makes the best of a bad situation. The air injection adds somewhat to the sensation of force without actually adding anything, if that makes sense! - when you block the air hole with your finger the shower gets quieter and does feel less forceful, so yes it does work, but it's not a cure-all for poor pressure. If it hadn't improved matters our next step would have been to go with a smaller head, which would have been regrettable, aesthetically. So four stars for doing what it's meant to do, would have been five if it were a little more reasonably priced.

Nice upgrade!
We had the Air 150 (Hansgrohe 27495821 Raindance S 150 AIR 3-Jet Shower Head, Brushed Nickel ) previously, and while it was nice we really wanted more water pouring over us. We love the hotels we've stayed at that have rain showers, so this seemed like a good upgrade. Wow, this was great. Very easy to swap out and even though it has the same flow rate as the 150, it feels like so much more water is being used. The efficiency is important to us being on well water, especially a low yielding well. I keep a water meter and a 5 minutes of running the shower used roughly 7 gallons of water. It really felt like 2x-3x more water though. What is also great about this shower head for well water users is the ability to rub the rubber nozzles to clean up hard water build up. There's a slight pulse from the air feature, maybe not a pulse in the typical way of shower heads but it is nice as it seems to add pressure and a bit more of an individual drop feeling. You can cover up the air hole in the center and feel the difference. Overall, I think this is a really great shower head that does a lot with very little water. It's the best of water conservation and a luxury comfort. The finish is really nice. I installed this with the Hansgrohe 15" arm (Hansgrohe 27413821 Shower Arm, 15-Inch, Brushed Nickel ). It was pretty easy to do, for anyone thinking of changing out their shower head here are some steps that I also wrote in my review for the shower arm: 1. Remove the old head first - Mine twisted off, but I was prepared with an adjustable crescent wrench - not the kind with jaws you squeeze as those will mar the finish. 2. Stick a screwdriver into the open arm end and use some light force to twist the arm until it comes off. Righty tighty, lefty loosey. 3. Insert the flange on the end of the new arm then do the screwdriver trick again (don't forget a generous amount of teflon tape) and tighten very well. Push the flange against the wall. 4. Flush some water through it, just to make sure its clear of debris. 5. Teflon tape the threads and install new arm, tightening with the crescent wrench at the notched part.

Great shower head but needs a new stem nut.
Works great. Just like real rain. My only complaint is that there isn't enough clearance to fit a spanner wrench on the stem nut. The actual stem is really close to the rotating ball so if you try to use a spanner wrench it will strip the stem nut. A 17mm wrench must be used. Personally, I feel that a shower head at this price point would have everything near perfect and I didn't find that to be the case. Especially since a $19.99 shower head from WallyWorld has plenty of space for tightening the stem nut.

Just okay
This was my first rainshower head and I'm not sure if it's worth the price. I really like the size of it, nice and big but even with the air pressure, it doesn't give me enough pressure when washing my hair. It feels great on my body but hard to rinse with, I end up using my handheld shower thing. Undedcided on wether or not to return it and go back to a traditional shower head.

great volume "feel" from the rain shower head.
Love it. We were on vacation where they had a Hansgrohe Air Shower head, and it was so much better than what I had at home - so I bit the bullet and bought this one. It really does seem to put out much more volume than our existing Home-depot generic. It's a very large head, and the effect is truly rain-like. There's a small opening right in the middle of the head that sucks in air and injects it into the water stream - giving it more umph. Not that irritating needle-like air injection of early water saver heads, this is gentle and gets the effect just right. Its style is contemporary - it's a round flat disk. Installation was a snap, fit well and doesn't leak at the fitting. Took all of 5 minutes to replace the old with the new. Pricey, but for something I use every day I felt it was worth it.

let them take your money and enjoy your best shower time
I agree with one of the previous review: let them take your money and enjoy your best shower time! This is the third shower head we purchased for our master bathroom. First one didn't give enough water power, second one was wrong size...So I finally find this one. After reading all the reviews I wanted to buy it right away already. I forced myself to wait and talked to my constructor about how to install this. At first he said NO, saying it's too late to add something like this. I didn't give up though cause I really want to try this. So I called Hansgrohe customer service and a very nice gentleman explained to me on how this works....Long story short, I bought this and I'm so happy with the purchase.

Not a spa-like feeling
I purchased a rain shower head hoping for like that drenching rain spa-like shower experience. That is not the case. It's maybe 50% amount of water that I would expect. In terms of washing off soap and shampoo lather, it's does wash off the lather, but you need to help it with your hands. The water itself doesn't do it alone. Most of the time, I just use the body/handheld spray to wash my off soap/shampoo lather. As a reference, my water pressure is 70 psi.
