Part for my Hayward super pump

A part that was needed for my Hayward Super pump.

Union is warped.

Hayward needs to improve their quality control. I ordered 2 SP1500UNPAK2. 1 to have as a backup. Both sets were warped and had to be heated up to fix them so they would screw onto the chlorinator.

The union lock nut binds on the union enough so it hard to seat the fixure

Union lock nut binds on the union Making it hard to start on the male threads of my Hayward auto chlorinator. Used two of them on the chlorinator 1 on each side. I took some emery cloth to the fitting end of the lock nut to make it slide over the union in order to tighten on the chlorinator.

The connectors made it easy

Connectors worked well and made the fit easy. The cost is reasonable.

Glue type not threaded

I should have read the product description closer. I really needed a 1-1/2 threaded fitting but got the "socket" type which needed me to get an adapter to be glued into the "socket." This was my fault but just point this out for anyone else not paying attention. This is a great product.

only one works

the reason i'm giving this product 3 star is simply because only one of them works you purchase a set but you can only use one. i had to contact Amazon for a replacement. they replacement had the same issue if you need to use both you have to get two

Worked well but were PVC

Not exactly as advertised. Listed as ABS but the units I received had PVC embossed on the pieces so require a PVC rather than ABS cement. Other than that they worked fine.

Good quality piece that fit perfectly
