Ready for Winter...Anywhere!

It doesn't normally get colder than 30 degrees F where I live but cold fronts can hit when you least expect it. I'm also once in a while in a colder area and need something that can handle whatever Mother Nature throws at me. This Helly Tromsoe jacket is it! Warm, quality look & feel, great zippers, hood, fit adjustments, pockets and its a little longer in the back than most jackets. It is not lightweight or packable but it is a superb Winter coat. I love it and the beluga green/gray color is really sharp. I'm ready for Winter...anywhere...in this one. Sick deal on this here, too. A+ product, packaging and shipping. Thanks, HH and Amazon.

It's a relaxed fitting style jacket..

Bought this at backcountry when it was on sale .... First Helly hansen jacket i ever had when i first tried it on i thought it was made large after i contaced Helly hansen customer service they said its made relaxed fitting so you can layer underneath it and still be comfortable wearing it ... so it is true to size but its made littler bigger then what you are use to if you are not use to wearing a relax fitting jacket.. i really like all the pockets they give you to store almost anything you want ... its comfortable to wear so if you like this jacket go to backcountry and put it on your wish list so you know when it goes on sale ..

Well made, rather tapered fit, one-way zipper - GAH!

Helly-Hansen Men's Helly Hansen Tromsoe Insulated Jacket, XL It seems that fit depends on the shape of the individual, as much as height and weight. The style is more tapered than the 'regular' fit stated in the product description. XL fits a 5'9" 185lb round guy with a gut. Size L was tight across the front. The armholes could be a little deeper, perhaps a concern if wearing chunky sweaters underneath. The wearer says they're OK with his raglan-sleeved heavy sweatshirt. It was difficult to find a good cold-weather coat that was not down-filled, and this is a well-made product - but WHYYY doesn't it have a reversible zipper? The length of the coat and the one-way closure can present a challenge for shorter people when stooping and scooping, for example. Be a good neighbour, Helly Hansen, and make it easier to pick up our stuff: reversible zippers - do you hear? You know you want that fifth star...

Great coat! My teenaged son loves it.

I bought the orange coat in men’s small for my 13 year old son. Older son has had the same coat since last year, so I know it is great quality. Update March 2023: Son is now 6’ all and 150 lbs. coat still fits and is still in excellent shape. Cannot recommend highly enough!

Avoid HH brands online

Poor quality, zip broke after a few months. Amazon would not replace . Avoid HH products and buy in person from a high street reseller. Felt like a copy

Super winter coat

This is an excellent product. Feels warm and comfortable and looks really good. Superb!
