2 time customers
This is our second time buying this vacuum, we bought our first two years ago and then replaced it with a new one. It's such a great price and does great with the dog hair!

Cats hate it, I love it!
My two cats highly disapprove of the new vacuum monster moving in. They were so hopeful when the old one bit the dust and stopped terrorizing them. Their efforts to kick kitty litter halfway across the house have been thwarted as this vacuum worked for both hardwood and carpet of various thickness. It sucked up a surprising amount of floof from the carpets I had already vacuumed a few days ago before the old vacuum monster kicked the bucket. It isn't a lightweight vacuum, but about the same as the previous one. The swivel action has pros and cons. It's easier to rotate around furniture, but a little harder to control in tight spaces. It has the longest cord I think I've ever had. I was able to plug it in a centrally located outlet and reach every room without unplugging! That's a treat. YMMV with house size, but I'm happy. People are correct in noting that the beater brush keeps turning even when using the hose attachments. I'm not sure why vacuums do that these days, but my previous one from a different brand did it too. It means you have to be careful where you leave it setting while using attachments. Older vacuums used to have a safety switch that prevented that. I chose this one because the price was at the low end. I plan on replacing my carpets with laminate this year, so figured I wouldn't be using it long. The last vacuum I had was atrocious on hard floors, and I guess I forgot it's possible to vacuum on hardwood without getting pelted by the vacuum spitting everything behind it. So I might be using it longer. Emptying the cannister was a little non-intuitive, so I made a bit of a mess on first use. There's an insert that's removable from the top that then lets the debris easily drop to the bottom to be emptied from the other end. This might be in the instructions, but I didn't need them to assemble it so didn't look, because it's a vacuum, how much instruction is needed? It is too big to fit under the beds, so the dust bunnies and cats have a place to hide from it for now. But it also means it won't be choking on unseen cat toys. We avoided those on its maiden journey, but I'm pretty sure it isn't designed to handle those and that's when I'll find out how hard it is to unwind them from the brush. So far, I'm happy that it does pretty much what I expected and a few features work better.

Attachment issues
Purchased this knowing it would get a lot of use. Not large area but at least twice daily, using attachments quite a bit. I have a woodgrain vinyl flooring with a raised grain to simulate rougher wood.(Not my choice, a rental mobile home) When using the handheld attachment : 1. Like most, the hose doesn't reach far enough. 2. If you attach the extension, the angle of the hose to the extension is awkward, the pieces were difficult to keep tightly attached, and the end piece nozzle also had a tendency to fall off as well. 3. I purchased this only a few months ago, and the hose came apart from the body of the vacuum. There is a click in piece that attaches hose to vacuum with a curved part and it stayed connected to the vacuum, but the hose came unglued at that juncture. 4. The brushes do NOT stop when using the attachments, and if you get a sudden excessive surge in suction, the vacuum heaves and bucks, and has not only damaged the cord in several places by inadvertently moving over it in this situation, but it has damaged my flooring in several places. It heaved from too much suction momentarily and chewed the top of the flooring. This was with the brushes on the high setting. I've found that I have to be extremely careful, after gouging the flooring several times . The suction is strong, granted, but it's too strong to manage vacuuming any kind of smaller area or throw rug. Hallway runners, edges of room size rugs, all get caught up by the suction and either get damaged and unraveled or just wad up till you shut it off and remove it from the machine. All in all, it's done more damage to my floor than good. The hard floor setting does not adequately clean up cat litter and ordinary particles very well. I preferred my stick vac over this

There is a major design flaw with this vacuum…
When you disconnect the hose, the vacuum part that rolls on the floor does not stop running… So therefore, if the vacuum is upright with the rollers directly on the floor, it’ll be sucking up dirt…..and will fly out of the open hole (where you’d connect the hose to use the roller on the floor) and dirt will fly everywhere. Only way to prevent this is if I tilt the vacuum back a lot so the rollers aren’t on the floor while I am using the hose to vacuum. It’s quite annoying having to hold it so that bottom part doesn’t touch the floor. I wish the rollers stopped when you disconnect the hose…

Broken parts
I bought this vacuum 7 months ago. It worked great at first! Cleaned my furniture with dog hair very well. Then the bottom piece keep falling off. One of the clip broke off (second picture). Then if I was using the hand vacuum part for my furniture, the lower vacuum would still be going. It would burn my hardwood floors. I had to start raising the vacuum setting to thick carpet setting to use the hand attachments. This was all a pain but I could still use the vacuum. About 2 weeks ago the tube for hand attachment pulled out of connection area. It was not from pulling on it too hard. I move the vacuum with me as I vacuum my furniture. I went to their site to order I new tube, they are out of stock. So now I would have to try taping it together or I'm out of a vacuum!!! Not happy with my purchase!

Lot's of suction!
This vacuum has a lot of suction power! I actually burned a small hole in the carpet because I pushed down on the rollers as it was spinning (accidently). The only issue we have had is that there is so much power that anything we have accidently sucked up we have burned a couple belts. But easily replaceable.

Works well
A great sucker. Really gets All the dirt and dust out! I was shocked because we had a not very old Hoover wind tunnel that we had to replace (our fault, not the machines!). This has top of the line suction! Now, it it only had a cord rewind!!

Worth the purchase if you can be okay with a couple of features.
Just unpacked vacuum and tested it out on my condo. I ran into a couple of things that presented some issues for my likability of this vacuum: 1. Instructions are slim with little explanation of the tool usages. 2. Weight is a little heavier than I would prefer. 3. Attachments and tube have issues staying in place especially when the vacuum needs to click upright again (make sure clicks otherwise it falls down). 4. Gauge for floor/carpet types not as convenient as I would prefer for a largely hardwood floor condo with area carpets…lots of flipping from one to another. On the plus side, the vacuum swivel does help to get into cracks and crevices without a lot of fuss (though it took me some time getting use to it). The suction is beyond fabulous. I had vacuumed with old one before and still managed to pull up loads of fur, crap, etc. The pet hair tool does not pull or tear at furniture fabric while gathering up all the cat fur. The red brush thing does great vacuuming areas like crevices on my fireplace mantle. With the light at the front of the vacuum head, I’m able to see all of the stuff under furniture. Finally it does not leave dust or odours in the air after vacuuming not does it vacuum all of the things my cats leave for toys on the floor. This vacuum would have received higher stars if the weight was better and the attachments did not keep falling off when I tilted back into upright position.
