Served it's purpose.

I used this cover to replace an old flat cover on a 4" metal box. The old cover would not accommodate the rectangular shape of my device. I was installing a timer to replace an old manual switch. Unfortunately the design of this cover did not fully accommodate the full length of the flange that would attach to a standard switch box. I needed to cut the flange short enough to fit within the ccurve of the bump our of the cover. Fortunately, there was still enough flange left to attach to switch to the cover. If this cover were flat, this would not have been an issue. And since this box was a standard depth, I did not need the added depth provided by the bump out.

use 6-32 nut with replacement faceplates

You can use different faceplates with this but need to use solid 6-32 nut to hold faceplate in place with outlet or switch. I tried the plastic nut that comes with device and outlet would just push it off threads. This due to fact that you arent able to screw device directly into metal box as it is 4" corner threaded metal box.

works fine, maybe a bit tight

works fine but I had to sort of force the cover over the dual socket...they made it a bit to tight for the sockets I bought.

Screw hole to large and switch hole not large enough.

The Decora opening isn't sufficiently sized on either the x or y axis for many of today's decora switches. Also the screw hole is way larger than it should be and screws that come with any switch won't work.
