Holding up to outdoor coastal exposures

I am only 5 months with this fan installed (to replace a prior “wet” rated fan that had nearly rusted apart in less than a year on my 2nd floor porch one block off the ocean). I am honestly impressed! There is ZERO sign of corrosion and no rust at all so far. The “coastal application” descriptor is legit! I am very pleased—granted it needs to pass the one year mark to get my full appreciation but it has “weathered” the environment quite well to date and once my back porch fan rusts away I’ll be buying another one. I will say the remote was a royal pain. We just hard wired this into the wall switch at our preferred speed but it is doing its job on an east facing covered porch 450ft from the Atlantic Ocean!

Quiet and powerful

Very happy with this fan. It's quiet and powerful. On low, it's enough turbulence to keep most of the bugs away. The in-wall control knob looks a little dated but I didn't want to a remote control that I'd probably end up losing after a while or an in-wall 'remote' which has a battery that would eventually need to be replaced. Only issue I had was the lead time on getting a 36" downrod to bring it to the appropriate height. None of the big box stores stock them and delivery was about 5 days so plan ahead if have a higher ceiling and need one.

Appealing

Easy to install and looks great. Only suggestion is for the mfg to include a small tube of gasket lubricant for one of the seals that goes over the extension rod.

We love the look of this fan

We love the look of this fan! However, I wanted to warn people that "Remote" Apparently doesn't mean remote as in remote control... they say the remote is the WALL control... so we ordered the separate remote (model 99020) thinking we could use that to also control the fan, and apparently you can't have a wall control and a remote..... without having to re PAIR the remote..... so it's one or the other. Wall only or remote, that attaches to the wall.

Looks like plastic

While this fan gets very good reviews on its functionality - in terms of moving air - it's not metallic looking at all. Looks like plastic because it is plastic. Yes, the housing is metal, but the blades are not. Very modern looking, which is what I thought I wanted, but the plastic finishes turned me off. Plus one of the fans had a warped housing so I had to return it. Returned the 2nd one, too. The knob speed control is definitely dated, but maybe Hunter is going for a Jetson's retro look??

Quiet and Effective

I sleep with my ceiling fan every night and the one we had since building our home was starting to make noise. We bought this Casablanca fan and installed it pretty easily. It is quiet and very effective for our bedroom which is 16x16'.

Fan is located in main living area. It’s stylish,sleek,and functional. The room has many other lights so unlike other Casablanca fans in the home opting out of the light was good decision.

Looks and works great, and at full speed produces quite the nice breeze.

I purchased this fan for my living room which has a 12 foot ceiling. I wanted something larger, but didn't want to pay over $500. Was easy to install (I'm not an electrician). Looks and works great, and at full speed produces quite the nice breeze. I've had it for about 2 months now with no issues; especially as I have it spinning 24 hours. The only annoyance I had was with the remote, which is the type that needs to be imbedded into the wall like a light switch. Fortunately, I was in the process of renovating my walls with new drywall, so I added a hole for this remote. If that had not been the case, I would have had to buy a generic remote and paired it - so ultimately, not that big of a deal. Recommended.
