All around great gun for the price.
In my opinion, this is by far the best gun for the money on the market. It's ugly and kind of clunky, but the last one I had lived twelve years with nearly daily use. The only reason my old one needed replacing is because I dropped it from and insane height and it didn't survive. The most important things to remember with any air tool is to try to eliminate moisture in the air system and keep them oiled. I expect this new gun to last at least another twelve years. I'm very rough on tools and they have to be fairly well built in order to live in my world. This little gun has my respect, and so does it's bigger brother the IR 231C. Yeah yeah, it's kind of a single action revolver in a semi-auto world, but it has always served it's purpose perfectly, unless abused.

Hot little bolt twister.
The red protective cover fit great. Pumped the hammer full of grease, oiled it and started using it. I repair heavy trucks. It has great power, easy to handle and definitely lives up to the Ingersoll brand I've come to know over the last 40+ years as a mechanic. Thanks so much!

Good little impact
I bought this impact a couple years ago and use it almost every day at work. It's a lot smaller than some of the other impacts out there so it can get into much tighter spots. It doesn't have a whole lot of power, but I guess thats the price of the compact design. It does get the job done in most situations though and I can still zip out driveline bolts on 40 foot buses no problem. I've had no problems with it over the last 2 years. Just make sure to oil all your air tools regularly and they will last a long time.

This gun works like a champ.
For being made in China it's a good gun with plenty of power. I was leary of buying it because I had only American made CP's before this, but it works fine and seems to be holding up to my abuse fine! The lever to change the direction is a little awkward or Different for me but it is only because I was use to the CP button (back and forth) for so many years. No complaints.

This unit broke with in the first 4 to 5 weeks
We purchased our first one in June of 2022 and it broke and would not function within the first 3 weeks. We decided it may have just been a "bad" one so we returned and receive a replacement unit in early July. that unit has now broke and it is 2 days past the return window. Do not purchase this unit

Does what I needed
It has the power to do the job on rusted hardware. It is small in size for working in tight areas, lightweight and it has good balance in the hand. I am glad I discovered this model. I only wish I had noticed there was a purchase option that included a red protector sleeve for the body of the wrench so I could save on the shipping cost. I highly recommend this model for its intermediate torque capability (I have two other air impact wrenches: flipper style and a 3/4-inch heavy duty style).

IR 212 3/8 Impact
Having used IR air tools for many years and having gotten very good service out of them, when it was time to replace my old IR 3/8 drive impact I of course bought another IR. Sorry to say that I should have looked at the CP's. My 25 year old IR 3/8 gun has almost as much power as this one and the quality of the tool is just not there like it once was. Also was very disappointed but not surprised to see that it is made in China. Would have gladly paid more for the old time IR quality and power. Think I'll see if I can find a rebuild kit for my old IR. By the way I repair heavy equipment and trucks so I use all of my air tools a lot every day every day, everything from 1/4" drive air ratchet to my 1' drive impact all older IR's.

I have used and abused it for almost a year and still as good as the day i took it out of the box
Great 3/8 impact, I have used and abused it for almost a year and still as good as the day i took it out of the box,the power to weight ratio is good and the much smaller size is great for working in cramped engine bays.Almost every nut or bolt i put this gun on it remover with little to no struggle, i have torn apart and installed exhaust components apart with it, done engine tear downs with it and use it all the time when working on small engine, you will not be disappointed if you but one i am going to buy a second to keep in my tool cart.
