Product is good. 2nd bought. Problem we have is whom ever deliveres any item we order(s) states they handed to us. Only once has that happened. Why can't they get it right. Would this make a difference on any returned item or on other issue.

Clearer Water

After installing and flushing the filter our well water was noticeably clearer. We never had bad tasting water to begin with but it wasn't perfectly clear, now with this filter it is perfectly clear. The filter end caps were cracked during shipping but the company sent a replacement. I suggested they add a little additional protection to the packaging on the ends to try and reduce the chance of the plastic end caps being cracked. I am looking at upgrading to a whole home water filter and due to their customer service I will be going with iSpring when I do purchase one.

Removed chlorine odor initially but water had a different odor the entire time

I recently replaced my 3M quick change whole house filter with a big blue due to the cost of the 3M filters (which are proprietary). I am in the process of trying various big blue filter cartridges to see which one I'll use regularly in the future. I have municipal water and primarily only need to remove chlorine odor and some minor taste from the water. I installed the filter and flushed the system for about 15 minutes using sinks and tubs, so a lot of water was moved through this filter during the flushing period. I still noticed, from day one, that there was some odor to the water. Not chlorine, but still a chemical smell I couldn't identify. I do tend to have a sensitive nose for odors, particularly with water, so I may be more picky than others. I decided to let it go and see if it went away. I noticed over the next week that the odor persisted, but did go away on random occasions only to return again consistently. After a week, I started noticing the chlorine smell back in the water again, so I will likely move to the next filter candidate. It should be noted that we are a household of two and use about 1,000 gallons a week (4K per month) according to the water bills. Also, the 3M quick change whole house filters I used in the past always lasted about 8 months and only needed to be changed due to pressure drop around that time. I never smelled/tasted chlorine while using those filters, so I know it is possible to sufficiently filter the water supply coming to our house so that the odor and taste are removed.

Great flavor

Since one of the star questions was regarding flavor, I decided to section off a piece and grill it with a lime citrus marinade. I have it a nice char and served on a bed of spring greens. As a filter, it gets 5 stars. We use it on our fifth wheel for camping and it does a fantastic job of fixing campground water. If you are looking for a meat alternative, I would look elsewhere.

really decent filter

This lasted about a month. It does a good job of getting rid of the chlorine that we have to use in our home purification system. The water is clear AA quality lake water, but it has to be chlorinated to get rid of nuisance levels of bacteria and algae. I would prefer if it lasted a little longer but the water tastes good and provides adequate pressure for over a month.

One excellent Filter for the ISpring Filtration System

I love the ISpring Water Filtration system. I put this system in my house approx 1.5 years ago and just changed the main filter. It is rated for 36K gallons of water. Our filter looked orange as we have nothing but red clay here in Atlanta! This filter works great with the pre-filter and they filter out just about everything that is bad for you! Will continue to buy these filters as needed.

The best carbon filter

This ispring carbon filter works perfectly. Last a long time and removes the bad chlorine taste and smell. No noticeable drop of pressure. It’s the only one i buy now. For a family of 4. On municipal water i change it once a year.
