Awesome!
We used this for our 1 year old on a week long vacation instead of packing a pack n play. It fit well in our checked luggage, and she got accustomed to it pretty quickly. Our 2.5 year old likes it too, though when I zipped her in and she wanted to get out she was able to unzip it from the inside. I've recommended this to a number of our friends already

Here’s why you need this tent over cheaper competitors
I was looking for a way to have my 1.5 year old son nap on the beach without having to be strapped into the stroller seat so I found this pop up tent. I was weary of the $130+ Price point but here is why you will enjoy this tent over the $40 alternatives. 1. Safe sleep surface. Although I have not been able to verify if the AAP directly endorses this particular product for “safe sleep”, it DOES meet all of the AAP safe sleep guidelines for infants 6 months and up. Beware of competitors who have more nylon fabric covering the infant - these can and will become dangerously HOT even in cool weather (have you ever walked into a tent with the fly on during the day? It’s very hot). Also noticed competitors have sloping sides that can partially obstruct infant breathing if places close to the edge.. the Gloo has a generous ~ 90° angle at the base and netting all around the edge so no breathing obstructions. 2. The tent comes with a self inflating thermorest quality firm mat that goes beneath the tent for safe sleep. 3. Super easy to fold up if you watch the instruction video prior. 4. If you compare to cost of a crib or other safe sleep surfaces (doc-a-tot).. it’s very reasonable in price.

Heavier than expected
It’s just a bit heavier than expected we need to fit it some how in a suitcase for a flight. Still have to see if we can fit it with our luggage but I don’t think so.

The BEST travel bed for toddlers
I wish we had ditched the Pack-n-Play sooner. We have been using this Joovy Travel Tent for almost a year now (we've used it at least 10 times with multiple nights) and it has been the perfect bed for our 3 year old. I like that it zips from the outside so that I can have peace of mind that my toddler isn't going to roam around an unfamiliar place while traveling. It has breathable panels so she never gets overheated. The sleeping pad instantly inflates so as soon as you take it out of the bag, it's good to go. My only gripe is I wish the sleeping pad was a little thicker, but my daughter has never complained so it isn't really an issue. It is a little tricky to fold, but once I watched the video tutorial on how to fold it, I was able to do it without a problem. My daughter calls it the "sleep cave" and she begs to sleep in it even when we are home. I really can't recommend this travel bed enough for toddlers that have outgrown their Pack-n-Plays but aren't ready to just sleep on an open bed.

AMAZING!!
This was used on a beach vacation for 2 purposes: (1) sleeping at night so I didn’t have to bring my pack ‘n play (2) napping on the beach This fit the bill perfectly! I started to train my baby to sleep in it about 2-3 weeks before our trip by having her sleep in it for naps. Then, a couple nights before we left, I had her sleep all night in there. She did very well! **I DID NOT PUT ANYTHING IN THE JOOVY WITH HER** WHEN ON THE BEACH: • BEFORE packing it up to take on the sand, I unzipped the sheet and took out the mattress and kept them in the hotel - this worked really well for us! • I used a portable clip-on stroller fan to keep air circulating (this was OUTSIDE the Joovy Gloo). I propped it up in a way so that some air could get in. • I also clipped up UPF 50+ sunblocking “blankets” (more like swaddle blankets than anything) on the OUTSIDE to prevent her from being able to peak and see me or others walking by. **The blankets are from Coolibar and are EXCELLENT!** FOR NIGHTTIME: • I zipped the sheet back in and placed the mattress in the designated slot • I used the fan (on the OUTSIDE) to keep air circulating • I used the Coolibar blanket for optimal darkness and, again, so she couldn’t see us walking around This has replaced our 4moms pack ‘n play for travel b/c of its ease of use, weight (VERY lightweight), and portability. I can’t recommend this enough!

Excellent for travelling with a toddler
We were skeptical initially, unsure if 2 year old would sleep in it but we did a few practice naps and turns out he loves it. He still sleeps in a crib at home and he’s very tall so this large version was our only option that would keep him self contained at night when travelling. The mattress is pretty thin (I guess fixing this would make it too bulky for hand luggage) so we put it on blankets or towels. The tent Amazon sent us had clearly been used and was too bent out of shape to fold up but Joovy provided excellent customer service, first doing a video call to help diagnose the problem and then sending a replacement that does fold up quick and easy as promised.

Fine, but not for sleeping
I got this with the intention of my baby sleeping in it while traveling. Protect from bugs while camping, yes! However, now that I've been able to use it a few times I am disappointed! For the price, it should be pretty flawless. Anyone shopping for this knows how difficult it can be to get a baby to sleep and stay asleep ... Well this thing has the loudest zipper ever. Someone makes quiet zippers, they have chosen not to use one. Unfortunately once my baby is asleep and in the tent, I cannot zip it closed because it wakes him up. So just disappointed. The blow up mat doesn't really inflate either. It feels the same to me inflated and deflated. It'll be nice for sun blocking, but that's it. ????
