Larger would be perfect

Overall, love this. I've been using it regularly for a year now. Despite a review I read when I bought it, it closes just as securely now as it did when I got it. Sometimes you have to twist it kinda hard to lock the drain into place, I could see that being a problem for someone without a lot of hand strength. That said, I wouldn't change the drain style for anything. It's perfect. I'm beyond sick of the cheap, thin plastic used in so many wash basins now. Most don't come with a drain, which was fine when they were made from decent materials, but now, if you try to lift one of those, they crack & fall apart. This is well made. Good quality plastic. The handles are brilliant, I never worry about lifting it, even full of water & dishes. The drain works perfectly. I love that I can either just open the drain, which saves anything small I might have missed when I drain the water. But, I can still take the drain out entirely which is helpful when I need to clean the thing. My only complaint at all is that I wish it were larger. I thought it looked kinda small when I bought it & it is. I can't fit most of my pots/pans in it very well. Granted, this is small & easily portable & will fit in even the smallest sink. But I would buy a second in a larger size without stopping to think about it. Taller, wider all around, I'd take either or both. While I doubt anyone from the manufacturer will read this, on the off chance, please make a larger version! Please. And thank you.

Great solution for washing dishes in single bowl sink

We recently remodeled our kitchen, and went with a nice, modern, single-bowl sink. While the sink looks great, it isn't great for hand washing a small amount of dishes - as a large amount of water would be wasted + the time to fill the water. This basin is an excellent solution to that problem. I had planned to get a simple "bus pan" to insert in the sink, but this is a much more attractive solution + it has a drain at the bottom. Honestly, this thing is perfect!

Great, sturdy tub

Much better than the folding alternatives - those aren't sturdy/stable and don't drain well. Not only does this tub drain much better, but the drain funnel also doesn't fall out nearly as easy which makes it easier to clean.

Great wash tub for dorms

I bought this for my college student, who lives on the top floor of their dorm, but the kitchen is on the bottom floor and all the way on the other side of the building, making hauling stuff for dishwashing a chore. This allows them to put their dirty dishes, utensils, pots, sponge, and dishwashing detergent in it, and then tote the whole thing to the kitchen for washing. Once in the kitchen, they can fill up this tub with soapy water and wash everything inside it. Then, they can drain the tub, rinse everything, and carry it all back to their room. The size is good for a single college student living in a dorm.

Great quality, perfect design

No idea how this showed up in my "things to look at" pile, and who pays $20 for a dishpan, right? Honestly, I scoffed. A closer look revealed some interesting features that you don't find in a Big Box Store dishpan - the feet on the bottom keep it up off the sink bottom, eliminating the greasy, gunky stuff that builds up if you don't wash both sink and dishpan bottom every time; because it doesn't rest on the bottom of the sink, it doesn't stop the drain when full like my old one did; the drain in the bottom means no more lifting it to empty, which means no spilling or stress tears like the thin plastic versions; the handles make it easy to lift and move wherever you need it, whether empty or full; thicker plastic will surely mean it will last longer than the cheapo kind. And I bought one. Yes, it's a bit smaller than the cheap version, but it's so much more sturdy and functional the size doesn't matter much. It fits just fine in my double sink (cheap rental stainless sink) and since I'm only doing dishes for one, it's big enough. The drain works perfectly so far, no leaks and it sure makes it easier to empty! It's stylish (mine is blue) practical and does it's job perfectly. Yes, I paid $20 for a dishpan, and I'm glad I did :-)

Great Wash Tub

I bought this to use in the shower. The shower has a built-in seat and I like to soak my cold feet in warm water while I wash. This is sturdy and has a built in plug and handles, which makes it easy to empty when I’m done. It can be used to hand wash small items and drain in the shower instead of overloading the bathroom sink.

Bought this to replace the 1 my mother-in-law gave me (it cracked from age) It's way better than the 1 I had. It's like I have an extra sink with this.

How Did I Manage Without It?

If you have a small apartment kitchen, this thing is your new best friend. It's deep, it's useful. I just chuck all the dishes in it all day until after dinner. You can even fill it, put it on the counter and keep the sink free. It's deep, it's sturdy, it's great quality. I thought to myself, "How can I justify not just buying a cheap one from a dollar store?" I'm keeping this one until it dies a very painful death. Worth every penny. PROS: No more splashing all over the counter when emptying the dishpan. Just unscrew the plug and the water will drain directly out. Great too if your dexterity isn't all it could be. Saves space mess. Stick it somewhere discreet and just chuck the dishes in as you go. Great Quality Deep Easy-to-Grab, Handles on the side. If the dishwater gets too messy, just empty and refill it. CONS: Wish it came in more colours. I'd buy another one. Buy one for anybody you know with a small apartment kitchen. They'll thank you forever.

Compact and handy

It’s small touches like handles that can really make a difference to making mundane tasks easier. Not many pool like washing dishes, I don’t but this basin has some simple touches that makes the job easier . The handles mean I can lift the basin around, pretty handy when I have to fill a kettle etc up but the basin is full of dishes . I have a compact kitchen with not a lot of spare room , this basin works well for me. It doesn’t take a lot of dishes, although it’s deep it is compact square size. So I would say only suited to a household of about 2. It takes plate size fine but easily gets full with cups . The drainer at the bottom sometime a hit or miss, which is funny as that’s why I mainly bought it .! As sometimes if it’s not shut properly and I move it , the water leaks out , but it’s handy if you don’t overfill the basin like me ! The sturdy design means it’s easy to lift an although I have the cream one it’s easy to keep clean . Just keep on top on cleaning it as the bottom can easily get covered in dregs . Overall very fumctional , looks nice and would recommend if you like nice deigns or need extra space .
