Good retrofit cans with quick connects

I’ve installed a ton of can lights. Most of the cans are about the same. These came packed well and no damage. The nice thing about these is that they have quick connects on the wires already. Makes for daisy chaining these that much faster. The one thing that I knocked it down for was the fact that the size of the can is slightly bigger than a 6” hole saw. This means that you have to cut the holes out with a drywall saw by hand, rather than just marking your spot and cut it out in a few seconds with a hole saw. Other than that, these work well and get the job done.

Super easy to use, a quick way to get your lighting installed quickly.

We are in the process of expanding our office and needed a quick way to get general area lighting into our expansion warehouse and these downlights were the perfect choice. It was as easy as pushing in the electrical wires and within minutes each fitting was up and running. I think it took less than a half hour to get all of our area lighting in, which was a stark contrast to the literal hours of wiring that we endured when putting the lighting in our current offices where we had to use wire nuts to make a pigtail and work incredibly close conditions in order to get our light fittings in place. It was a literal night and day with these fittings and they were such a joy to work with. We will be going through another expansion later in the year and will definitely be buying these again!

Good Quality and Price

Exactly what we needed to put recessed lights in dining room. Already comes with the LED plug, so our Cree lights can go in without any problems as soon as the electricians can come in this busy season. The edges are a bit sharp, so handle with care, but once installed you won’t need to adjust or touch these. All of them are debt free and brand new. Thanks for reading, and YMMV.

A quick connect that works

What I like about this housing is that it is exactly as stated by the manufacturer. The housing provides a quick connect plug that is standard for electrical attachment of the LED trim to the housing. This plug allows you to quickly plug the trim straight into the housing. This set up offers an energy-efficient, sealed housing that stops air, reducing heating costs. The housing is compatible with many other retrofit trims. This housing can be used to comply with standard LED light source requirements and is UL listed. Nice LED housing.

Why I gave 3 stars

Well admittedly I thought this was something else so I didn’t really mean to order this. I have no idea how it works. It does say a set of six and I only got one, hence the 3 stars.

Easy install

I ordered the 6” LED can. Super easy install and they fit with different retrofit LED profile because of the quick connect. Why we care? Because we ended up Buying a lot of different profiles whenever they went on clearance at Lowe’s or Home Depot - these housing fit all of them! This is a super easy DIY project that you can get done in about 30-60 minutes depending on how easily you can access the ceiling beams/joists and your ability to use a drill. Very happy with this brand!

Not a 6 pack

The ad is miss leading. It only comes with one. The metal is strong and durable. The can it self is structured very well with the junction box. The wires are long enough. 1 star because only one came not six. Thanks for reading my review!
