Very sturdy toys

We used these for a school project. The kids plan to keep them when we get the project back. These are very thick plastic toys. They are not flimsy little rubber toys. All the toys in the picture except the hanging shark. The plastic square that creates the eel scene is actually the box top so you don’t lose it. The cardboard box it comes in has cut out science pieces as well. It also comes with a plastic storage box. This set includes lots of animals including a parrot fish, clown fish, eel, shark, puffer fish, sea turtle, shrimp, manta ray, jellyfish and lots of coral reef and sea kelp. I give it five stars.

Fantastic

This set is fantastic. My daughter used it to help build a biosphere for her life science class. The piece are very well made, and have great detail to them.

Very nice toy set!

This is a very nicely done bucket toy set. I have three kids, so we’ve bought several bucket sets in the past, but they were the cheaper ones that you can find at the big retail stores. I was expecting this one to be about the same as those, but it is so much nicer!! In those cheaper sets we’ve bought from stores in the past, the filler pieces (like the rocks of trees or whatever) are made of the cheapest, thinnest, flimsiest plastic. The rocks get crushed, the trees won’t stand up, pieces are broken off very easily. But with this set, the extra pieces like the rocks, coral, and seaweed are made with a very thick and much heavier weight plastic, so they hold up to play, and the coral and sea weed actually stands up and doesn’t fall over. With the other, cheaper sets, my kids would always get frustrated that the trees/coral/etc would fall over and not stay where you put them, but that doesn’t happen with this set. The pieces are very well made and detailed. The coral and seaweed have a nice texture as well. My kids love building dioramas with their sets, and showing us what the designed. They love how the pieces don’t fall over and move just because you happen to breath on them. As for the animals that come in the set: there is a reef shark, clown fish, jellyfish, sea turtle, and more. They are also very detailed and well made. They are heavy, and will hold up to a lot of play. My only complaint is that not all of the animals are made on the same scale. For example, the clown fish, shark, and sea turtle are all almost the same size. Also, the shrimp and jellyfish are made with a lighter weight plastic than the other toys, but I don’t mind, and my kids love having a jellyfish and shrimp in the set. You don’t see those included in sets like this really. Another cool aspect is that the lid on the bucket turns into a play piece and can become a part of “scene.” Such great detail went into this toy design!! I love the thick, durable bucket it all comes in. That makes it very easy to clean up, and for traveling! We took this on beach vacation so the kids could have something to play with during the moments we were stuck inside, and it was a huge hit. And so easy to clean up when they were done. All in all, I am so glad I purchased this set, and look forward to purchasing the other ones that are available. I’m never wasting my money on any of those cheap, lousy sets from the other places again. Such a great toy for all my kids, who range in age from 2 to 9. They all love to play with it.

Amazing !!!!

Wasn't quite sure what to expect from this product. It by far surpassed my expectations. My grandson is 7 and studying sharks,sea turtles and all things in the oceans. He was so excited to have received this gift. This one was a home run! Thank you National Geographic!!!

Exploration play!

My son loves this gift! We put on a song about the ocean animals and sing as we build the ocean. Then we put on fact videos about each animal!

Great for my 2.5yr old

My toddler boy loves dinosaurs! Only downside is the tub it comes in isn’t really made to quickly store the toys back in as they don’t fit after putting the trees together and it’s an advanced+ game of Tetris even if you spend time taking the trees apart again.
