Fabulous for warming feral kitties in cold
For those with a heart of compassion & want to warm a feral kitty. I've bought this & other K&H products because they are wonderful. I purchase them again, perhaps every 4-5 years because of much usage. I put this on the top shelf of FeralVilla shelter (keeps predators out since they can't easily get in first floor) putting hay and this K&H heated pad on top. With this combination, it keeps a feral safely protected and warm. To any feral with a hard, cold like, this combination is truly considered heaven to them. All they need then, is some compassionate person to feed them and trap them, spay/neuter (so more cats don't have a hard life).

Great but missing cover
This heated pad is great and is just the right temperature to keep my stray outside kitty warm (used with the Kitty igloo - also great). However, it was advertised on Amazon as having a fleece cover included, but this was not the case. If fact, the instructions inside mentioned the cover but said "not included." I went on line to order separately, but it looks like this was a free offering and I could not even order it. Only bad thing about Amazon and the company...no telephone number to call. All in all, I would order this product again. Amazon should just take off that the cover is included.

Seems like a good product for a reasonable price
Works just as described. We have it in an igloo style cat shelter. Once our local tomcat figured out that he had to sit on it a bit for it to warm up, he just kept on using it. We often find him in there in the morning when we wake up, indicating that he probably uses it during the coldest part of the night into the early morning hours. Temperatures regular get down to the teens (or lower) here in the winter. Seems like a good product for a reasonable price. This is our first season using it. It's been out there for a few months. We'll see if it lasts.

Perfect for keeping my kitty warm!!!
I purchased this to go along with my recent purchase of my Petmate Kitty Cat Condo. My cat seems to really enjoy spending time inside to get out of the cold weather. The only problem that I had is that I did not receive the cover that comes with the pad in the original shipment. The pad is hard plastic and would not be comfortable at all without the cover. After calling the manufacturer directly, they sent out the cover and I received it in about a week.

Outdoor cat LOVES this
This DOES come with a cover for the hard plastic warming mat. Difficult to tell from the description even on the manufactures packaging. I bought the kennel earlier in December but decided she needed more protection from the cold. Our outdoor cat LOVES this mat inside her igloo style kennel; and now we are no longer worried about the cold winter weather. (Note - this is a stray cat who showed up with kittens a year or so ago; and though we tried to make her a house cat, she was unsuited for life inside. She is now fixed and happy to be fed daily. She is living the life of luxery in this kennel with the heater!)

Only getting the mat
Be careful with this page. The "Lectro kennel" is only for the heating mat. NOT for the house too. I guess I assumed that I was getting both when I ordered and when it came I only got the heating mat and had to then order the $63.00 igloo house seperately. The page is deceiving, it looks like you get both and nowhere does it say that the "Lectro Kennel" is just a mat. I have not used it yet as I don't have the igloo. Waiting now for that to come for my outside cats (2).

They don't use much electricity
I have 2 igloos in the yard for any cats in the neighborhood who might need a port in a storm. They don't use much electricity and aren't hot just warm enough to warm up their bones on a very cold winter night. It took awhile for them to get used to going into the igloo but now that they know they feel safe in there they nap in it. I've had them for years and no problems.

Missing an item
So I got the product for my puppy but it didn’t come with the fleece cover as it said on the box, now it was a lpn but the only thing that was suppose to be wrong with anything was the box. A little upset!!

As described fits small igloos well
Came quickly, was as described, tested to see if it worked (it did) but the cats don't use house now? Even in -20 and lower C temps.
