Very comfortable, light weight and well made. Downside is that they are hot! Your feet will sweat.
These boots are light weight, comfortable and very well made. The only downside is that they are very hot and do not breathe well.

Great for my wide feet
I used to wear Thorogood emperor toes but can’t find them anymore. These are the most accommodating I’ve found. I didn’t even have to get extra wide like I normally do with other brands. I also have arch and Achilles pain in boots with a lot of flex in the sole, but not in these. The only con I’ve noticed in my first couple of weeks is that my feet sweat more in these boots. I think it’s because of the waterproofing. I have to remember to put absorbent pouches in them at night or in the morning they’re still soggy and I have to wear them gross at work. But as long as I dry them out they’re fine.

Attractive, comfortable, true-to-size, very solid
I don't normally need to wear work boots, but I suspect that these are about as comfortable as they get... almost but not quite as comfortable as a pair of high-top sneakers or day hikers. Great insole really fits my foot, a little snug across toe box and a little stiff, but excellent toe protection while still being fairly light weight. They are waterproof and quite slip resistant both in a lab (oily environments) and in the snow/ice outside. I think they are attractive. The lighter color surround does scuff/mark up a little easily, and my kids say the color sk remind them of pretzel buns in appearance which I can now not unsee. They do get a bit warm indoors after a long day, but most waterproof shoes do.

Never trying Keen again
I liked the style of this boot and I've always worn wedge sole boots, so I thought I'd give these a try. After wearing them for a month, I started getting some back pain, which I initially thought was from lifting at work. Then I noticed my knees were achy and considered that it could be the boots. I immediately switched to another brand new pair of wedge sole boots from another manufacturer and after the next day at work, not only had the knee pain gone away, but my back felt better. After another day of wearing the other pair of boots, my back pain is gone. I'll never buy Keen again. I've personally had good results with Thorogood and Timberland Pro boots.

A Half Size Bigger
Wow, this is one hefty, high quality boot! I mean, just holding it you can feel the weight of good materials in your hands! It looks gorgeous too and I almost don't want to wear it for any kind of work because i don't want to ruin it, haha. Of course it's from a reputable brand so there's no question about all of this. Overall it's definitely got a solid toe that will protect you from any drops, pinches, or accidentally walking into something which is generally my case. The boot's upper sole is thick, but soft and comfy. It feels breathable and while i haven't stepped in a full puddle yet, I'm confident it's waterproof. The sole is solid and thick so it won't wear out any time soon and has a great tread pattern for muddy conditions. The color is decent but i would have preferred the darker version if it was available. I just know it won't be long until i get these dirty so darker is always better in my case. As for the fit, they seemed about a half size too big for me. This is probably my fault though. I'm usually a 9, but lately i've found that 9's differ across brands and don't always fit me right. On a few i've had to get either an 8.5 or even an 8 so maybe my feet are just shrinking. I'd look at other reviews regarding the fit since i don't trust my own foot size at the moment. I do have narrow feet and felt the width was just fine on me so hopefully that's helpful. The only other thing i noticed is that they did take a few days to wear in. Originally i felt a bit of a pinch on one side but that was when they were right out of the box and also like i said above, probably not the proper size. But it went away after a few wears. You can also see the brown material on top gets some markings in it when you start wearing it and it creases but again, these are work boots so they're meant to get worn.

Poor quality check
I have bought two pairs of keens now. Both pairs had issues with the (right shoe). First pair of the stitching was off but I just rolled with it cuz I needed a work boot and work boots don't have to be pretty but I spend over $200 on these shoes so I figured I shouldn't have to deal with poor quality. If you buy these be prepared to send them back.

Comfortable From The Minute They Are Put On.
Immediately Comfortable My previous work boots had to be broken-in before they got comfortable. However, these KEEN boots were surprisingly comfortable from the moment I put them on. The inside of the boot is actually soft and comfortable on my ankles. I can tie them tight enough to stabilize my ankles and wear these boots for hiking and other activities. I got them in a half size larger than I typically wear because I often wear thick socks with work boots and add an orthotic insole. But, if I had realized these boots would be perfectly comfortable without the insole, I would have ordered them in my actual size. I have yet to put them to the water test because I have not had the opportunity. But, we will be doing some hiking in May and I look forward to wearing these. I'm expecting that it will rain and when it does, I will be putting these boots through their paces. Of course, I could put them through their paces in my bathtub, but that doesn't seem logical. COMFORT TEST Sunday morning, I put them on and wore them all day. I wore them to two stores and on a half-mile stroll to a restaurant. These obviously do not feel like wearing walking shoes or sneakers, but they were considerably less rigid than I was expecting. As I mentioned above, I did use orthotic insoles, but at the end of the day, my feet did not ache all. One thing to keep in mind: if you are used to driving in sneakers or walking shoes, these KEEN boots will take some getting used to. Since you won't have the same sensitivity, it's easy to press harder on the gas or brake than you would ordinarily. It's not a major problem, but it's something to remember. WEIGHT Each size 10 boot weighs exactly 2 pounds (to the nearest ounce). 910 grams. I don't have many boots to compare these to, but the weight seems about average for a boot of this size. (Weight without the orthotic insole).
