A stylish lamp with quality control issues

We ordered a pair of these and a companion smaller lamp in the small size for our home. The lamps were well packaged and arrived without damage in spite the carrier's best efforts to smash the box and contents. The lamps installed as easily as any other similar lamp, most lamps these days seem to use the same hardware and installation procedure. I appreciated the use of stainless steel mounting screws in an outdoor lamp. The powder coating finish was evenly applied and seems reasonably durable. The one (potentially serious) issue is variability in the accuracy of the factory's lamp assembly and alignment. There is a newly developed subdivision in our neighborhood and at least a hundred of these lamps have been installed on the new homes. Probably 40% of them have obviously defective alignment of the lamp's base plate and hanging glass shade. One of ours was close to perfect and the other one had a noticeable deviation in alignment of the base plate and shade. Also, the base plate of one lamp wasn't square as one vertical side of the base plate was longer than the other. As the large shade hides most of these issues we decided to live with it. Some of the other same lamps installed in the neighborhood are so out of alignment they obviously look quite "wonky." Unfortunately there is no way to easily correct that misalignment because the manufacturer drilled a second securing screw that goes into a second small raised mount below the large main threaded mounting of the lamp's shade. So, a nice lamp when assembled correctly but there seems to be a substantial chance of getting one that is visibly out of assembly alignment.

Nice looking

I bought 4 of these lights and they arrived well packaged, no damage to glass. Due to another review I opened and set out all 4 lights on a table to inspect them, making sure they were all aligned. They were all perfect. The installation instructions are not great but they were easy to install after you figure out the 1st one. They are very nice lights. I would definitely recommend them.

All around good buy

I like the glass texture on this light and the antiqued bronze. It has a sturdy feel to it. It was easy to install. The only problem I had was that the screws which connect the circular bracket with the light fixture we’re almost a centimeter too long. I guess handy people cut them to the right size but I don’t have the tools or experience to do that so I had to find different screws that were the same threading but shorter to use instead.
