Well Made
Don't buy cheap ones. Well worth a few more bucks for these.

Strong sets of tongs
Locking feature is a bit clumsy, requires use of both hands

Nice tongs, but perfection slipped a bit.
I like KitchenAid and have a set of there regular stainless steel tongs. I wanted to try the silicone tipped ones since my wife and I both use tongs a lot while cooking in non-stick pans and want to protect the surface. The lock feature is standard for KitchenAid tongs - pull out to lock, push in to release. Works well. The tongs are sturdy and easy to operate, but the silicone tips cause a few problems because they were a little too flexible or slippery for cooking some foods. Trying to flip chicken breasts was hard in the pan and some veggies, like broccoli, were hard to grasp when covered in olive oil. We just had to get used to holding with more pressure when we had these issues. I took off 1 star since they were a little harder to use. The silicone definitely did not damage the non-stick surfaces and worked well otherwise. No pics since they look just like the ones in the writeup.

Far superior to our old tongs
“KitchenAid Universal Serving and Silicone Tipped Stainless Steel Kitchen Tongs, Set of 2“ We’ve already owned some kitchen tongs for a few years now, and we’ve been pretty satisfied with them. They appear very similar to these KitchenAid tongs, except that they’re a couple of inches longer - sometimes too long, which made them awkward to use. Another similarity is that all of the tongs unlock by pushing in the ring at the end of the handle, and then they lock in the closed position by pulling the ring out. The ring can be used to hang the tongs for storage but we just keep them in a drawer while locked in the closed position so they hardly take up any room. This is where the similarities end. These KitchenAid tongs are made of a much thicker gauge stainless steel so they’re heavier and much more solid feeling - there isn’t any flexing or bending when picking up heavier foods like our old tongs did. The KitchenAid spring is also thicker and stronger, and even the rivet that holds the tongs together is superior in that it’s larger with a closed head on both sides rather than being closed on only one side. The KitchenAid tongs actually make our old tongs look pretty cheap (in all fairness, they did cost a little bit less). The KitchenAid tongs also come with a “Lifetime Warranty”. We really like using the silicone tipped tongs while cooking so there aren’t any problems with scratching our cookware (both nonstick and stainless steel surfaces). The all stainless steel tongs are a little shorter, and they work great for serving. It’s really come in handy to have two different tongs for each of these tasks. We definitely won’t be using our old tongs anymore.

Quality tongs for people that actually cook!
These tongs are the real deal... and great for people that actually cook. - Sturdy and built tough - They just work and super smooth operation - The push/pull locking mechanism on the end is super useful for storing to keep the tongs together for space saving purposes - It's nice to have a set with one of the tongs all stainless steel and the other coated with the silicone for both options. Having the coating so they can be used with non-stick pans and not be worried ruining the pans is always a good thing - Both tongs (arms) are aligned perfectly when using them - Perfect size ~ not too large and not too small. The stainless steel tongs are about 8.75" long for useable length (not including the locking mechanism) and the silicone coated tongs are about 10.25" long for the useable length (again, not including the locking mechanism). If you cook... these are the tongs to get. Probably not long enough for grill but any stove cooking, definitely. Great value, great brand name and made well.

Amazing quality & craftsmanship = a tong-tastic culinary experience!????
So I’m a huge foodie who appreciates any tool that improves the cooking/baking process. And I’m here to tell you, these tongs put every single one in my drawer to shame. Shame, I say! So what makes these so superior? PROS: ☑️ The opening and closing of these are so freaking smooth, it’s like the Barry White of tongs! They’re THAT smooth in function. ☑️ High quality materials. The stainless steel has a great heavy duty, made-to-last feel. These puppies are Durable. ☑️ The Easy Lock feature on the tongs closes them better than my others (i.e. less gap at the end). This makes them more compact and consequently, takes up LESS drawer space. Hoo yeah! ☑️ Many of my other tongs have the scalloped edging. HOWEVER, the interior is waaaaay more concave/curved than any I’ve owned (see pic), which makes picking up a variety of foods so much easier! ☑️ I also love that these come in two sizes, with the larger pair being silicone tipped! Cannot recommend this amazing pair of tongs enough! KitchenAid really delivers on the quality, design, and functionality with this superior set of tongs. Excellent bang for your buck when it comes to this kitchen drawer essential!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
