Great... but watch out for user error!

Works well, maybe a bit too well !! Installed a new outlet and it kept tripping a GFCI and it the outlet kept tripping! I thought I installed it wrong.. Problem was, I forgot this tested GFCI and my finger was on the button! When user error is avoided, the product works very well!

We love this set....

We changed out almost 50 outlets in our home. This set was fantastic. It was very clear when we turned off the correct breaker at the box. It is very clear. After zapping ourselves a couple of times, it was a no brainier to stop and get this set. We are very satisfied with the performance of this kit.

Most important single tester for wiring outlets

One of the few devices that can tell you if everything is working correctly. Just plug it in and look at the lights. If they are correct, press the button to test the GFCI/GFI breaker.

Worked great, maybe saved me from a really bad shock

This gadget notified me of reverse polarity on one of my receptacles. But more importantly, it found an open hot on another receptacle. Fortunately that seems to be the extent of the problems in my home. I'll be letting an electrician deal with the open hot.

Great product, works well!!

Great product. Just one suggestion. If you need both receptacle tester and non contact voltage tester buy the set instead of buying them separately. Its cheaper in Home Depot than Amazon

Not great for daily use for electricians.

After using to test maybe 15 GFCI outlets the left prong become loose so always indicates an open neutral. Have to push down or to a side to get it to read properly. I’m an electrician and I use these things daily. Figured it would last longer then a few weeks....

easy smesy

its so easy to check the outlets in the apartment we live in. My landlord didn't like it at all. i had found 3 plug-ins that were not grounded. i was having a few problems because of i thought just one plug not grounded. anyways it's easy to use, and very accurate. My landlord had to fix the plug-ins and some how ground them. this is a great tool.. tks... Another great buy from Amazon. and very speedy delivery, next day... KOOL

Very easy to use and read. compact to fit in any tool box. This easy to use tool made finding the source of the reversed polarity receptacles in my new place very simple.
