A bit expensive
I bought this to use after foot surgery since I'll be non weight bearing for 6 weeks. I bought this model because it has the pneumatic tires and can be used both inside and outside. I bought the JR version because I'm shorter (5'4"). In general, I'm happy with this knee scooter. It is well-made and pretty sturdy. You do have to be cautious when using it outdoors on the grass. The biggest downsides: higher price, no basket included, and it has the turning radius of the Titanic. It was easy for me to assemble (before surgery). Regardless of which knee scooter you buy, try to get it at least a week before you need it so that you can practice getting around on it before you have to worry about hurting your leg/ankle/foot!

Worth the money
After falling twice on crutches after foot surgery, this Kneerover scooter was worth every dollar. I haven’t fallen since using it. It doesn’t have the best turning radius but that’s to prevent it from tipping over while turning. It’s light enough to pick up as I scoot for turns in the kitchen and bathroom. I set my turns up early and I can get it through all doors without any problem. The brakes work fine but I have no plans on taking it on any hills. The adjustable handlebars come up to my waist (5’5) as they should. I’m glad I opted for the four wheels instead of three because of my balance issues. Back wheels are set in so they don’t get in the way while I’m scooting. It moves very smoothly and easily around the house. Also moves well over sidewalks, parking lots, gravel, my uneven patio without problems. I bought the memory foam padding which is more comfortable but it interferes with my balance so I took it off. The original seat is slightly concave so it’s more stable for balance. It’s still very comfortable without the extra pad. I didn’t get the basket but it would have been useful because you really need two full hand grips to keep safe.

A fun alternative to crutches that comes with a seat for breaks!!
I have a genetic disorder that causes hypermobility and frequent dislocation of just about any joint as well as many other injuries. I have extensive experience using crutches and other mobility devices following injuries and surgeries. My latest injury landed me in a walking boot about 2 weeks prior to attending a 3 day music festival so I knew I was going to need something other than crutches or a cane to assist me in getting around. I did hours of research on these as well as the rolling walkers before deciding to get the Knee Rover Quad Jr. *****I need to make it clear that I am a petite woman at exactly 5 ft. tall and just under 100lbs. This particular device is barely large enough for me height-wise with it adjusted to the tallest setting. If you are any taller than 5 ft. or purchasing this for a growing child who is already this height you should probably opt for the full-sized version.***** ☆☆If you are planning to go outdoors at any point while using this equipment I HIGHLY recommend getting the model with the off road wheels. I know I couldn't have done at least 95% of the activities that I was able to had I not opted to get those rugged wheels on my little hot rod!☆☆ Now for the details: ▪︎This scooter arrives in a box that is pretty heavy, so if you are the one needing the equipment you may need an extra pair of hands to help moving the box around and getting the main parts ready to assemble. ▪︎Assembly itself is not too difficult as most parts are pretty much preassembled and just need to be screwed together. ▪︎The handle bars can fold down towards the seat to help the scooter fit into a vehicle easily. ▪︎The kneepads could have more cushion, but I put a folded microfiber towel on it to provide more padding and to prevent my leg from sticking to the seat in the hot weather. ▪︎There is a handbrake that functions very well and also has a locking mechanism that I wouldn't fully rely on, but it is helpful. ▪︎The maneuverability of this device is somewhat limited, especially on rougher terrain. Sharp turns are impossible and turning around requires a 3-5 point turn depending on the conditions. ▪︎While using crutches uses a lot of upper body strength & stamina and can cause some irritation under your arms, using the scooter for long periods of time is a full body workout and can be quite exhausting, but the main advantage is that you always have your own personal seat with you everywhere you go! That definitely came in handy for me countless times at the music festival. My husband even pushed me on it when I could no longer scoot along. ♡♡Overall I highly recommend this as an addition to your mobility aides if you are able to withstand a fair amount of exertion to keep yourself rolling along. You may want to pencil in time for a few extra breaks, but when recovering that's not a bad idea anyway so from where I sit it all works out. ☆For comfort and ease of use I added a basket to my scooter and if I have to use it for another extended period of time I will add a cup holder. I also got a bike lock for when I had to leave it unattended out in public.

Lifesaver!
This has been a lifesaver for me. I was non weight bearing for a few weeks following surgery and am still only partial weight bearing 6 weeks out. I'm probably going to be hobbling around with an open wound on my foot for at least a few more weeks. I have calcifications in both shoulders so crutches are really painful for me to use. A rental scooter through my insurance company was going to cost almost as much as a purchase so I decided to purchase a scooter. I chose upgrade to an all terrain model for comfort and stability. I called Knee Rover for advice on the best model scooter for me and they recommended the Quad Jr since I'm 5'2". I LOVE this scooter. It's extremely stable, the wheels have a comfortable ride since they're air filled and it's fairly compact. I teach at a college and can easily zoom around campus with no issues. I've taken this scooter shopping, for dinner, to hospitals and doctors appointments, etc. Once you get used to the wide turning radius, it's easy to get around. The brake works really well, though I wish it had a brake handle on each side, not just the right. It's easiest for me to place it in the back of our minivan but it does fold to fit in either a trunk or on the back seat of a compact car. I'll be honest, I'm not the most gentle on my scooter but it's held up perfectly and I've never lost my balance on it. The knee pad is a bit hard so I purchased the memory foam pad that was recommended. My knee was sore to start but now that I've been using it for two months, I'm used to the knee pressure and the pad helps so much. The only thing that disappointed me was that it did not come with a basket. I bought the one that's made by Knee Rover as it is removable and had a handle and it's worked perfectly. I made the mistake of popping out with crutches the other day cause I didn't want to be packing and unpacking a scooter in the rain. I regretted every second of that trip without my scooter. I can't recommend this enough!

good on slopes and rough terrain
I looked at a lot of knee scooters before choosing this one. I read a lot about how unstable they are over the tiniest pebble so I selected this one with pneumatic tires and I was not disappointed. It was easy to assemble the seat and handlebar but the brake wasn't working at all and it was very hard to adjust because there is no room for fingers where the adjustment screw and spring are. Even then after getting the brake to work I couldn't get the brake lock to work. It has a very wide turn radius but I think it is designed that way to prevent tip overs. The wheels smoothly go over bumps inside and outside. pros very easy to assemble (except brakes) good for smaller people really easy to fold to put into a car pretty fun to ride cons it wasn't clear to me before it arrived, but the kneerover all terrain junior does NOT come with a basket. the brakes require some effort to make them work only one brake lever

Well made
Very sturdy and good quality. Instructions easy to understand and useful for assembly. Larger wheels great on uneven terrain outdoors. Deducted one star as it is a bit pricey.
