Beautiful Sink BUT A Dud.
I love the way this sink looks and if you don't really use your kitchen then go ahead and order it, BUT there are definite problems with its design. I ordered this as a drop-in mount, and as such the edge is exposed around the sink. The problem is that the edge is sharp! I am afraid that it is sharp enough to cut. I think if I had personally handled the sink before installation I would have tried to file it down just a little. I also would have put a bead of silicon caulking UNDER the edge of the sink before dropping it into the countertop. The edge is so small that there really isn't enough area to run a good bead of caulking around the sink. I can see that I'm going to be replacing this many times in the future. The bottom of the sink could be sloped a bit more since I don't think it drains as fast as it should. I think if it drained faster then more of the detritus that collects in the wash water would make its way down the drain. The corners are hard to keep clean. The metal grate for the bottom is practically useless it is difficult to clean. I only have the one sink in my kitchen so every time I need to peel veggies or clean dirty dishes, I have to take the grate out and find someplace to put it. It is too big to fit under the sink with all the other things that need to be stored there. I wish the grate was in 2 parts instead of just one big massive one...that way I could find room to store it under the sink.

Form Over Function
Update: this is the only product I’ve rated on Amazon, so that says something. I give this two stars because it looks nice & it has a large capacity. Otherwise, the sink is design-flawed. It’s completely flat on the bottom. That means every bit of food that doesn’t make it into the disposal sits on the surface until you manually clean the sink because there are no curves for the water to follow to push the food into the disposal. Had I known, I never would have purchased & if I could, I would have returned it in a minute. It was a lot of money to look pretty. Original: I recently moved & have had plumbing & this sink for less than a week. The sink has already started to rust. The marks are faint but they are plenty. I purchased this sink because of it's size, aesthetic & because I trusted Kohler. The website suggests using certain products to remove rust, but I don't understand how rust spots could appear with so little use. It's a good-looking sink & the space is wonderful, but purchase with caution.

Huge and very stylish, but hard to keep clean
Here are the pros: I love the size of this sink. Even the largest pans I own fit flat without a problem. It's large enough to wash in one side and stack clean items on the other side. It's deep enough that dirty dishes can't be seen from across the room. It looks sleek and stylish. We used a laminate countertop due to budget constraints and this sink is a great compromise for those who can't undermount. Down the road, if we switch countertops, this sink can be undermounted. That's a definite plus. Now the cons... It could definitely use an undercoating for sound control. There are a few foam pads adhered to the bottom and sides, but nothing close to adequate. When I poured a large pot of boiling water in it, it flexed and made a thunking sound. Maybe because it's a zero radius, maybe because of the way it's designed, but it doesn't shed water quickly enough to keep itself even remotely clean. If you are rinsing dirty dishes, the bottom of the sink will become coated with food particles. You will then need to waste a significant amount of water rinsing the sink. It's tedious, but I suppose it's worth it for the good looks and extra space. By the way this sink comes with a stainless rack which covers and protects the bottom of the sink. I do love the sink, but I had hoped for better performance.

Great sink, check sizing
This would have been a great sink and I got an amazing deal on it through Amazon. The bowl was just massive with the angled corners and depth, and it looked super-sleek and modern. Unfortunately the rail that runs around the bottom of the rim for clamping to the countertop added something like a full inch to the cutout on all sides. It was to replace a cast iron that was already technically too big for the cabinet, so I had to return it and get another cast iron. Both sinks were 33 x 22, but there was no way this sink was going in the same hole. A little disappointed with the sizing and installation info I could find on Kohler's website prior to purchasing - seemed like there was nothing straightforward saying "This is how big the sink hole needs to be..." Awesome sink but not meant for my cabinet, though I did end up getting another Kohler I'm very happy with.

A real beauty - even with stains
have been using this sink for well over a year now. easy install, fab look. i opted for the top mount option on new granite counter tops. doing so means that the sink is not as deep, but i really wanted to see that thin profile edge. very slick and modern. and top mounting does not prevent me from sweeping crumbs and such from the counter right into the sink. it's the thickness (thinness?) of a dime. but guess i don't really understand the definition of 'stainless.' because this sink sure stains. easily. and indelibly. from that perspective i have had far better luck - and for far longer - with way less expensive stainless steel sinks. i don't know the cause as i am pretty careful with everything i spill into or place in the sink. always aim for the drain and immediately rinse around the space. but stains still pop up. really makes me question the quality, but the design is unbeatable.
