My fish CarCar loves it
It's so quiet, I had to check to see if it was working. I love it. My betta finally has room to swim. Easy to assemble. Add your fish and personalize. Best price ever. We shopped around and closest price was almost $70 . I am happy.

Six months later...
Bought this tank setup in Dec. 2021. Set up and began cycling in Feb. 2022. I liked all components. Filter is easy to clean (I switched it out to a sponge instead of carbon), multilights in the hood are cool, right size, etc. Added a betta and some live plants in April 2022 after cycling. Everything going well. I usually use the lights for 6-8 hours a day. Either blue or the fading clear light setting. Didn't notice this until today, mostly because the lights blind you when you open the lid. Algae growing inside the plastic light cover. Thought I was doing everything right as I've not experienced an algae bloom in the tank. Is there a way to remove this plastic cover, without breaking it, to clean out the algae? Doesn't seem to pop off.

Nice tank for the price point
I have owned numerous Aquariums.. most were large.. 20-50 gagllon But size now dictated a small one Looked at all Amazon had to offer in 5 gallon size .. Picked this one .. as it was acrylic... less chance of leaks All is good... Except for the pump.... not sure it will provide the water volume for this tank Seems very week and a pain to mount . Looking for a replacement Purchased all the goodies . See pics .. and I am ready to get my fish . I know the limit in type and size as it is only 5 gallons .. probably .. one super cool .. Betta I am impressed with the lighting , the full cover which is hinged and the packaging and the overall quality of this tank kit... minus the pump.. Recommend this one .. if you need a work desk, end table size tank or have limited space Which was my issue.. you will love the LED light system. It has 4 colors, white and a dim and sequence feature ..... super cool Really shoes off the tank With a tank background .. of course,....

Nice price, fine tank
I like this tank just fine as a beginner (and for my 3 year old's room). I haven't had any major problems with it in the past 8 months since I bought it. The fish seem happy and healthy, we have added and traded fish with no problems. It took some time at first to keep the water clear and fresh smelling, but fixed itself. I change the filter about once a month or so and rinse it about once a week. The filter usually starts sputtering when it needs to be replaced. (the tetra whisper filters fit and are cheap.) I change out about 1/4 of the water once a month as well with a gravel vacuum syphon thingy. (I unplug the filter when i change the water- I think I almost broke it the first time by leaving it on.) The filter is very loud when the water flow is not covered with a high water level, but most reviewers say not to do that? I always keep the water level high so it is quiet and have not had any problems. My daughter likes feeding her fish and changing the light colors. It does seems to scratch easily and now has some green algae specks that don't come off when I occasionally wipe down the inside- not sure if a glass tank would be better with those issues? Overall happy with this basic tank- just make sure to get some replacement filter cartridges.

Super quiet filter, large tank, good quality, no issues as of yet
Will update as I've only had working for a few days, but as of yet, all is functioning properly and filter is the quietest I've ever had. I have a Tetra whisper air pump for my air stone bubbler and as quiet as it is, the filter is even quieter. I had to feel the top of it for the vibrations and put my hand under to feel the stream just to make sure it was working, I couldn't believe it! I've seen a lot of reviews talk about how powerful it is, and yes, it is quite powerful, but I suppose it depends on what your fish likes. My betta, Finley, has always liked to play under the stream of the filter (only betta I've had that seemed to enjoy it rather than avoid it) and seems overjoyed as it pushes him a bit and he swims back under, goes back and repeats constantly. I would say I might be concerned for tinier fish that may not be able to withstand the current if they got too close to bottom as the suction is a bit strong, but it's not as if my betta has to constantly swim against a current, as I've had filters in the passed that were that strong. I'd say bettas and other small fish (mid size guppies, mollies, goldfish and others around that size) should be fine. Love the size as I upgraded from a 1.5 gal. Finley has plenty of swimming room and now has some decorations to hide/swim through. I have the SpongeBob pineapple, crusty crab and Groot air stone bubbler as well as some social plants and all fit comfortably with plenty of open space. As of now seems to be a lovely tank! Will update as I know more.
