It gets dark early around here in the winter and I love this thing! It’s super bright and handy.

Handy, but big, heavy, and a 2-hand tool

I like this flashlight. But, in order to be useful at all, I used some electric tape to tape the flashlight portion to the bag dispenser portion. Otherwise, you won't be able to turn on the flashlight (it works by rotating a ring on the lower portion, but the whole lower portion will turn unless you hold it with two hands. Or tape it.). Since taping the two parts together, it works perfectly as a light. The second issue is that most bag rolls (all rolls we've tried since the kong included bags ran out) are too tall/long to be able to be pulled through the opening - there's too much friction. So you can pull a bag out if it's exposed, but the next bag is a pain to get out as you try to claw it out. On the other hand, the light is usefully bright and always there when you need it. We don't go on any walks without it - we just take the extra time to pull the bags out while we walk. It was a little hard to get the clip over our leash, since the carabiner is so small (in fact, I over-extended the clip on the carabiner the first time I tried). Anyway, I recommend this if your dog doesn't usually drop a load on every single walk, or if you buy bags that have short rolls. And do the tape trick.

broke twice

I love the concept and sleekness of this product. However the first one that I received had a broken clip to attach to the leash and the poop bags were all broken and split in half. I returned and requested a new one. It's been great so far, until the clip broke again.. very disappointing. I've had it for just over three months, so I cannot return it for a new one. Sad :(

This is exactly what I was looking for. Not only does it have a flashlight but poo bags. With other poo bag leash cases they would constantly pop open and the bags would fall out. Also, the attachment of the other cases would either break or open and the case would crash to the ground. Not this one. It stays closed and attached to the leash. We have a lot of Kong products and love them all.

Works, but...

I bought this as a Christmas gift for my mother. She used it once and the power button fell off. It still works, but takes a little of technique to turn it on without the power button.

Love the bright lights!

Loved how bright the flashlight was, and that it came with a clip. I clip it on to my jacket so I can hold the leash, hold the poo bag, and the light goes right over the poo so I don’t miss it. I also love the bags- they have easy to tie handles.

Pops apart every time it hits the ground

Pops apart every time it falls to the ground. So far it still works but is frustrating to pick up the bags and the two pieces every time. Has not Fallen hard either, so I'm not sure what the issue is. I'm sure it's too late to get my money back but I guess I would either get a separate flashlight and bags or a different brand.

Didn't last 2 months

I bought this at the end of December 2019. By the beginning of February the light was acting wonky. Before the end of the month it died completely. The design is actually pretty good, and the light (when it worked) was well suited to the job. Too bad it doesn't last.

Great concept but hopeless product. Don’t buy.

This is the third of these torches we have bought because we love the concept and, when it works, the light is good. However each one has failed after a short time because the on off switch is a hopeless design. The latest one we bought lasted less than 3 weeks before it failed. And they are expensive. Do not buy one of these until the design is more robust. Just because it’s Kong doesn’t mean it’s good though it does mean it’s expensive!

Well made but on the large side

The product is well built but also huge so is not practical to attach to the lead clip. I do use it but have to carry it separately as the size just makes it an inconvenience when on the lead so I purchase a key ring maglight which cost a little more but provides brilliant lighting within a tiny torch.

Handy item- worth a buy!

Found this super handy when walking my dog. My nephew took a liking to the torch version so got him one with just the torch and hand gel. Great for walks out with my nephew at dusk time or late nights at the zoo! Worth a purchase, buy the larger bags poo bags for it, the smaller ones don’t have handles on the bags.

Another great HandiPOD

I ordered this HandiPOD and the variation with the hand sanitizer attached. I love this product as it comes in so handy at night when I need to walk the dog. It's got a clip on it, just as the hand sanitizer variation does, so I clip them onto the lead or put them in my pocket. Picking up my dog's business in the dark is now a breeze as there's no messing about, I can quickly pull out a bag and see what I'm doing. It's great, highly recommended!
