Bent and scratched
The racking cane was perfect, if it wasn't for the poor packaging. It came in a torn bubble wrap paper bag. This thing is long and slender, it needs to be in a box or at the very least wrapped in additional bubble wrap or foam sheeting. With brewing scratches = infections. I'm not about to risk hours of brewing and fermentation control by submerging a scratched cane and trub tip into my brew.

Very happy work it!
I've broken more plastic tracking cakes than I can count so last time I decided to try one of these stainless steal ones. The only con is that you can't see when the wine first starts drawing up the cane but it's a small price to pay for an unbreakable option. I also really like the red sediment tip....I find it easier to see in a carboy full of wine than a black one. Wish I had bought one of these sooner!

Makes racking much easier when used along with the carboy cap that holds it in place. I like it because I can more easily transfer beer without disturbing the unwanted sediment at the bottom.

I broke 2 of the auto siphon plastic ones before i made the switch to SS. Use it with the Orange rubber carboy blow off caps and you are set.

works well
I had been using plastic racking canes and they both began developing hairline cracks after about 6 months of use and then one of them finally broke. These stainless ones have been great. The only thing I don't like is not being able to see what's going on inside the tube like I could with the plastic canes.

NICE!
Very nice cane. The removable tip is even stainless. I should have bought a stainless one, three plastic racking canes ago! It did arrive with a very slight bend in the straight part, but the stainless is heavy enough, and the price low enough, that it negates talking away a star for it.

I love the stainless racking caned
The stainless steel racking canes are just what I needed the plastic ones crack and get worn out when siphoning hot water to rinse the casks.
