PERFECT.

Nobody sells this.. Tried everywhere local possible including gas company. Finally came here and found it. Would of saved allot of gas just by shopping here

Perfect for my need

We replaced our old dryer from the medieval age that came with the house we bought. The gas flare of the old dryer was 5/8”. The new dryer gas pipe needed a 1/2” flare. This was the perfect solution for $15 instead of paying a plumber couple of hundred bucks at least, to change out the whole gas pipe. The female side of this went snugly on top of the existing flare. The male side fitted perfectly to the new gas pipe that came with the new dryer. Did not find this at any of the big box stores.

Solved the problem I had

It did everything I needed it to, which worked for me because nothing else I tried ended up fitting properly. Ancient gas line busted and I needed to replace old copper with new flexible tube. Only thing coming out of the wall that wasn't seized and painted over ten times was a 5/8" flare. Hit five local spots trying to get this exact adapter, nobody had nothing. Thank you LASCO for saving me a grip of money.

Needs more specs in product description

The thread on these adaptors is different from one product to another, as is the depth/length of each side of the connector. Mine almost didn't work, because the thread was too deep and I had to add a solid washer inside the female flare to make it work for my application. I was lucky to have a washer of proper size, plus other accessories to patch it up. I would have appreciated a mention of detailed dimensions, so that I could have kept shopping for an adaptor which had an easier match.

Incredibly hard to find at "hoam Deeh-poh" and the other chains.

I was glad the wait was finally over. I had a dryer gas line installed and the dryer delivered but the reducer was no where in sight. I went here and there and nothing fit, either it wasn't a flared thread or it wasn't the right size. I read a previous review of a guy that had the same issue with a natural gas line that was 3/4 that he needed reduced to 1/2. The wait was just too long to assemble all the pieces I was provided when I purchased the washer dryer. Oh and they gave me the wrong kit too. Wish I'd just came in to Amazon.
