Great toy, needs a bit more room
My 3-year-old cousin absolutely loves this toy, and it's been great for reinforcing sorting skills. My one complaint is that it's very hard to fit all the pieces back in the box. It kind of works if you take out the cardboard piece propping up the foam board, but that's an actual part of the toy, judging from the pictures. (If you take it out, the foam board sinks into the box, rather than being level with it like you see in the pictures.) The box will still close if not everything is perfectly aligned, but it will puff out a bit, and since it doesn't have any sort of tab or other closing mechanism, that's asking for trouble. The pieces are a little bit bigger than a quarter in diameter and I fully expect my cousin to lose at least one of them almost immediately (especially because several of them escaped under various furniture within the first few minutes of playing with the toy), but for now, the lack of room in the box is my only complaint.

Wonderful gift for toddlers
Got this for our 2 yr. old great grandsons' bday-- he loved it & so did his almost 4 yr. old brother. Their mommy told me they played with it for hours & she was able to sit & relax for awhile. She said this gift was a HUGE hit.

Many different benefits from this game.
Great game for a 3 year old. My daughter loves it. The pieces are great quality, durable and cute. You can follow the game or even create your own with your toddler. She spends a while playinh with it and even makes a "tower" with the baskets, organize them by colors and sometimes by type of veggie. We sometimes hide one veggie and make her think what veggie is missing and she got really good at looking at the pieces and figuring that out, which helps her focus and her memory. I totally recommend this game.

Lots of ways to play with this
A very cute game. The suggested uses are versatile and educational but I can also see lots of room for imagination and free play. I have not given this to my grandchildren yet but look forward to doing so. The only thing I am not happy about is because I did not check the "is this a gift box" the shipping label was applied directly to the box and my address written all over the sides in big, black marker. The package arrived in good condition so I did not complain but as a neat person who tends to keep each item as pristine as possible I am very put off each time I look at it. In future I will be checking the box even if I wish to keep the item in my own home.

Makes math problems more fun.
My visually impaired student likes planting the vegetables. I like that there are rows of 5. We make up stories to make the math problems more fun. ( Vegetables fall off the truck for subtraction or we sell them at the market). A fun way to do math without knowing it.

Perfect for fine motor skills...
I am a primary school teacher, so I have ordered this for my child and for my class. Pros: Perfect for fine motor skills - you can easily spend a lot of time pulling vegetables and putting them back into the 'ground'. Cons: The brown base easily comes off when children tug quite hard. I am a primary school teacher, so I have ordered books for my child and for my class. Pros: Good for trying to incorporate that 'ambitious vocabulary' from a young age. There were interesting verbs in this book, with pictures to match. Cons: That's it! The words aren't written in a sentence, so children will often read a word and never understand the context of the word in spoken English, which is a shame. Tips: Glue the brown layer down.

Great learn through play activity
My 2.5 year old loves this. There are several different learn through play opportunities - counting, veggie sorting and colour matching. She also enjoys free-play with it, pretending to plant and grow different foods. I wish it came with more clear stands in stead of having to switch them up each time. However it does come with one extra in case you lose one. Foam piece that food goes into is thick and sturdy.
