Hands down—Best quality of play food!

Not only is this set insanely adorable, it’s SUCH good quality! My toddler loves it and plays with the pasta set constantly.

Great Fun!

My kid LOVES pasta, so we needed some backup to distract while we cook dinner. That's where this set came into play. ???? Did a search, and this was PERFECT! Pasta was a lot safer, and more durable than the ones I made with fabric. Love the strainer, which looks almost exactly like ours! Meatballs and cheese shaker are a plus. My kid shakes the cheese on everything lol. Doesn't make any noise, but that is also a plus imo. We also have the soup set, which is equally a hit. Kid's been setting up dinners for toys everyday. The minute we cook, our child wants to cook too, and copies what we do. Not just a toy, but a safe and fun educational experience as well.

A great supplement to the other sets. I wish there were more noodles and another loaf of bread.

My daughter loves this set as she does all our other learning resources foods. I wish this one came with a few more noodles and a second loaf of bread, but otherwise it’s a lot of fun. She loves Parmesan so naturally we now all get Parmesan on our pasta, waffles, and in our soup she makes for us. The construction is typical of this brand - a nice, soft, pliable, but sturdy rubberized plastic. The meatballs though are a firmer shinier plastic. Still cute though and funny to throw into a collection of balls. My daughter always corrects us for being silly and mixing toys together. The waffle maker is still my favorite set, but this one is pretty great learning wise since the pasta is a little easier to grab with the tongs than some of the vegetables in other sets. It’s a good fine motor exercise.

The pasta is soft rubbery plastic m!

This is the best set ever. I bought two. The pasta is so realistic ! The meatballs are weird but my kids love them. Plastic strainer is very durable - would def recommend!!

Squishy al dente pasta

Just got this today and am impressed with the detail of these food sets. Looking at the packaging, you’d THINK the pasta pieces would feel like hard plastic. Not so! They are of a softer plastic/rubber material that is pleasantly squishy, yet bounces back like al dente pasta. The only thing that could improve this set would be for the Parmesan shaker to sound like it has something rattling inside. It might be a safety hazard and that’s why that detail wasn’t included in this set. And the Learning Resources dishes are on the thin flat side. But you buy these sets for the cute food.

Realistic and adorable set!

I gave this as an early Christmas present to my granddaughters today and they had so much fun with it. As with other Learning Resources sets, the food is a softer plastic that appears like real food. This set is so worth the money! Loved it!

Kiddos love these fake foods

When I saw these ravioli's and penne pastas I just fell in love with them. There are meatballs, bread, a shaker of cheese!. So realistic. My granddaughters (3 and 1) use the tong all the time, good for their dexterity as well as hand and eye coordination. I have bought a lot of Learning Resource's products. Very durable, no cheap plastic. Buy with confindence.

Cute pasta dinner addition to our play food collection

This is a cute addition to our existing play food collection. Pieces in the set are good quality and seem pretty durable. Packaging wasn’t quite as nice as other sets so something to consider if you are buying as a gift. Also, the raviolis have small pin holes in them to push out air and this could potentially lead to mould problems if they get submerged in water (just something to keep in mind if you are buying them for a setting where they need to be cleaned/disinfected regularly). Shipping on Amazon said this would take 7-10 days to arrive but it came within 3 business days so much faster. I guess this will depend on where you live but thought I’d mention that the 7-10 business days seem to be more of a worst case scenario.

Best play food we own

My two girls absolutely love toy food and play with it nearly every day, we have lots of different brands and types, a lot of wooden, some plastic, but these are among the best we have in terms of quality, durability and just being really pleasant to play with. The pasta is shaped in penne and ravioli and is soft and squishy yet durable and retains its shape well with heavy play. It is super realistic too. There is also a small bread roll which is soft and two meatballs which are made of a slightly more rigid plastic. The colander and tongs are well made and the cheese shaker has a lid that turns. Probably the only disappointing part is the two blue plates which are totally flat and have no lip around the edge so food slides off easily when carried around by small hands. Overall I would highly, highly recommend this set as it is such good quality and nice to play with. In my experience its worth investing in well made realistic role play toys like this as they get a lot of heavy use. Honestly love this set.

Excellent product!

Have purchased several Learning Resources New Sprouts play food items for my grand daughters over the last couple of years. Extremely realistic, durable and perfect for little hands. Plus lots of options to choose from. Love all their products. Have never been disappointed.

Play food at an okay price.

This is quite a small set of play food for toddlers. Although there are twenty pieces, most of them are pasta in the form of noodles and ravioli. It would make a good addition to a bigger set but on its own, I don’t think it offers enough. The quality is good with high-grade plastic used throughout. It can easily be washed which is important as they will probably want to put it near their mouth. This brings the other concern, a choking hazard. Age 2+ might be too ambitious as some pieces are quite small. I would certainly encourage adult supervision for the very young. The current price is £20 which is okay as the quality is so high. However, I see this as an addition to a bigger set in which case it could be seen as a bit expensive. That’s my personal feeling but of course, it’s up to you to decide. Overall, play food at an okay price. Hope that helps.

Love this set!

My girls love their play kitchen and I have gotten most of them items from Learning Resources as I find the quality to be outstanding. Unfortunately some of the sets can be on the expensive side, but the quality really can’t be beat!
