Christmas Gift for my 3 year old Grandson
He's very smart and thought this would not only help with number recognition but help with telling time, he's currently in Preschool so I thought it would be a great learning gift, spending time with him and I love the quiz feature to help him further learn. I haven't used the feature, "Time to wake" I guess it's used like an alarm. I would recommend.

Clock hand can be obnoxiously squeaky
We got two of these for our kids. Blue AND Pink. The blue one has a horrible squeak with the clock hand, which is used with most of the features. The alarm light feature has yet to work perfectly. I think it’s too easy for small kids to mess with the time and it needs to be set every day. So in theory, the alarm light could work under high supervision, but so far I’m not impressed with that feature. However, it is great for encouraging little ones to get familiar with learning time. I was helping them for the first two days, but they quickly stopped asking questions and were exploring and learning on their own. If your kid is having trouble grasping time, I would recommend this. One other thing I don’t like is the nightlight. The kids don’t care for it either. It’s a bright blue and makes everything in the room look extremely strange. My oldest (7) will use it as a flashlight if she needs to get up in the middle of the night. -Not a good nightlight -Good flashlight for in the house.

If defective return it
Mine was defective. It called out one hour earlier than one shown. Could not fix it. So just returned and new one is great-- and childproof. Excellent return-- I had replacement before I had even mailed back the return. This is why Amazon has loyal customers.

Great little clock with well thought out ways to introduce time-telling skills
Super cute! My 2 & 4 year olds love it and have figured out things it can do I hadn't discovered yet. I was under the impression you could set a timer of sorts and the lights would be blue or green depending on whether the timer was up or not, but I haven't figured out that function yet (if it's even there?) I'm a bit tech-challenged. Clock was easy to set, the dance party function is fun for the kids and is an excellent way to introduce them to reading/understanding analog time without teaching it. I love the quizzes and challenges for time, the digital clock function to help them associate the numbers with the analog time, and the hole in the arrow that not only makes turning the hands easier, it also makes it so you can see the numbers through the arrow. I also love that the hands turn only like a real clock--you can't turn the hands separately and must turn using the minute hand to also change the hours. That's another way of indirectly introducing these concepts to little kids where they learn by experience rather than lessons. This was definitely a good investment for our family!

Great little learning clock
My son loves his new learning clock. It's colorful and fun. Only downside is that it does NOT count individual minutes, just the 5 minute increments. Still, good for concept building.

Good little learning clock
One of the things my daughter asked for her birthday was a “toy clock”. I had no idea what she had seen to give her that idea but found this on Amazon and thought it looked suitable. I took a star away due to the alarm that functions only as a change in night-light colour and not an audible alarm which would have been very useful in our case. Otherwise, the teaching functions are great and the dual analog/digital clock faces help aid learning.

Worth it
It’s cute and the little guy (3) likes it a lot. Blue/green light is nice and has stopped the 5:30/6am wake up calls (he’ll use the washroom and then return to his room to look at books or play quietly until the robot light turns green) Takes 3x AA batteries and they go quick. We’ve had to change them already since Christmas (about 3 weeks)

Excellent tool to teach my preschooler when it’s morning.
My 3 year old absolutely loves this & so do I! It has a gentle blue night light & you can set a morning alarm which turns the light green in the morning. My son now knows that when Tock is green then it’s ok to wake up. He also loves the games he can play with him. We haven’t started using the clock much yet but I already can’t recommend this enough. It’s stopped my son getting up to early & comforts him with the night light.

Toddler loves this!
My granddaughter (almost 3) is learning how to tell time. She won't put it down!! Large numbers, digital clock on foot for reference and great features. Terrific for Littles.

Cute but not perfect
While I'm a big fan of the Learning Resources stuff generally, this one is a little frustrating, because you can only position the minute hand and can't independently position the hour hand. This makes teaching time-telling tough with little ones whose fine motor skills are still developing and who find it baffling to have to spin the minute hand all the way around just to move the hour hand 1 number. The musical aspect and toy itself are fantastic. If both hands were independent, I'd give it 5 stars.
