Low profile and easy to install

It doesn't take too much space inside the box and makes it very easy to install.

Okay quality, okay value.

I bought this because of the low price, and the promise of a slim profile and easy installation. The price is low, and the "slim" profile is no thinner than the old outlet it replaced. The push connection holes are too small for 12 gauge wire -- only 14 gauge fits (similar to other brands). The only option was to make a loop and side wire under the screw terminal like the old-style outlets. The item is residential (medium) quality and rated WR (weather resistant) for outside use. I installed two of them, and expect them to last for years.

Difficult to plug in

Tamper resistant does not work well, very difficult to plug in.

Easy to install, purchased these off amazon because Home Depot didn’t have the weather resistant in a Decora style and didn’t want to drive to Lowe’s to find out. These passed inspection.

Good value, great performance.

For a do-it-yourself individual, this is an excellent product. Outlets are a very "nervous" install for a lot of people, and with good reason. The way this is designed, the installation is relatively easy. I've always been pretty comfortable around electricity, but I also have a healthy respect for it. I know what it can do, so I always take precautions as they are needed. This outlet was perfect for my purposes, and fit very well in the outdoor enclosure in which it was placed. Because the enclosure was an older one, this made me very happy. At this price point, an external outlet would have been made PERFECT, had it included a GFCI fault switch. This would have made it a 5-star rating, rather than a 4.

Not tamper resistant

Product is listed as weather resistant AND tamper resistant, but the latter is a false advertisement. If you purchase this product because you need a tamper resistant outlet, look for another product.
