Great GFCI Outlet
I am very impressed with the quality of this GFCI outlet. I bought 2 to replace some very old faulty exterior GFCIs. This thing is built solid! This outlet was about twice as much as some of the bobo brands on Amazon but when it comes to electric, I don't like to mess around with safety. Amazon was definitely cheaper than the orange big box store. I like that they have a green light that stays illuminated when you have power and they are not tripped. The green light is pretty bright at night. I have a clear plastic cover over the outlet and I can see it from inside my house so I know the outlet has power. I have no doubt these will last many years.

Working Fine in Florida Ocean Environment
I installed this outlet last year on my balcony, which is exposed to the Florida ocean front. And it is working fine, having replaced a different unit that the salt air had damaged. The related Bell cover is critical for this installation.

Chunky, not Slim
The description says it is slim. It is much chunkier than other outlets I have used. The specified measurements however are correct.

I will skip the tamperproof next time!
First gfci I ever installed it was simple, and from a name you can trust! Wasn’t quite sure what a tamper proof receptacle was but I soon found out that it makes it difficult to plug in plugs amongst other things. That said it’s build quality seems legit from what I can see and again from a name you can trust!

Failed with clicking noise in less than 5 months.
I bought this unit for three reasons: It is "weather resistant", it is a slimmer profile, and it's a well-known and respected brand. The slimmer profile is a help in my case, it's installed in an outdoor (in the wall) - through the stucco box, old construction. The box isn't super roomy and is used both for the protecting the receptacle and a second receptacle that is 10 feet away used for a power awning and a fountain pump. This receptacle is directly behind a rose bush (bad landscape planning!) so not actively used - except it's a convenient place for an outdoor security camera mounted in the eaves. |Both receptacles have all-weather covers and seals. I didn't see any evidence of direct moisture intrusion in the box or the down-stream receptacle box. But ... about 5 months after installing this box it started the "chatter of death". An nearly endless series of loud clicks... it had failed. Wouldn't reset, wouldn't test, wouldn't recover after cycling the breaker. I replaced it with a cheap knockoff that I had on hand - bloody knuckles and all. There was no apparent cause for the failure... I found no shorts in the circuit or obvious grounding problems... and I saw no evidence of arcing or melt or smoke. So it may have "done its job" without any obvious provocation and committed suicide in the process. When a unit like this fails, it made me seriously think that perhaps I should just replace it with a non GFCI protected receptacle... but decided that its self sacrifice is better than electrocution of myself or someone else. Long story told shortly: 5 months is too short a life. We'll see what happens to the "nameless" brand I replaced it with in the long run. It cost less money and another version of it hasn't failed (yet) in a similar outdoor location.

Seems legit product
Identical to the store bought ones so have to assume legit - how do you test that. Straightforward to install as a normal GFCI. Didn’t test the water resistant part but he gfci tests ok.

No problem fitting in shallow boxes, replaced all my outdoor receptacles with these.
Replaced a number of outdoor outlets, both attached to the house and supplied in plastic boxes via underground cables with these. The ones that were in there had become very old and one of them would no longer pass the GFCI test reset - it was time. I had no problems fitting these into any of the boxes I installed them in, even a quite old fashioned one that was attached to one of the brick walls of the house which is shallow by today's standards. I like that these have a status indicator which lets you know if the GFCI has failed (they actually self test now, which is great) and let you know at a glance if there is power being supplied to the outlet or not. While you should always double check by some other means that the power is actually off before working in the box, this is a welcome quick indicator that you have indeed hit the right breaker and also helps find the outlet in the dark provided you've installed them under a clear water proof cover. Note these Amazon units are "contractor" packaging, which means they do not come with a face plate (not even needed on outdoor GFCI in most cases, I don't understand why they sell them with face plates in the store) but the price is significantly less without that piece of plastic you won't be using regardless.

Liked it so much that I ordered one more.
It was a bit dark in the TV area of our living room so I ordered one lamp. Liked it so much that I ordered another.
