Perfect Fit for My Garrette Pin Pointer

After searching Amazon looking for a holster for my Garrett Pin Pointer for quite a while when I discovered this one. I decided on it because of its expandability and I was pleasantly surprised when it fit as snug as it did. Great addition to my EDC metal detecting gear and, it won't fall out of my side pocket.

Not bad

This is a pretty good item. It holds my flashlight as it advertised. The only down fall I've had so far is that it's hard to remove said flashlight and then put it back in the holder.

Quality

Quality materials holds the flashlights very tight and the belt clip is strong and it will not slip off.

For my fellow Ghostbusters

I got this for my Ghostbusters gear. I'm giving this a 3 for "easy to remove" because this baby isn't easy to remove from your belt, which is a good thing. It's also a nice snug fit for a Spirit Halloween PKE meter to wear on a belt. In fact, it's such a good holder, I'm going to order a second one to use for an actual flashlight. :)

A decent bit of kit

I bought this for work. It serves well and i think it would be good for a wide range of lights so long as they have a head swell so that they have something to be pulled in and out by and so that they dont easily get pushed or fall through the case. Its open bottom, which has benefits and disadvantages, but thats the point of this holster i think. I bought it for my aa mini maglite to use on my belt at work. If this is the type of gear that you like for edc, this would work well for you too. I manged to stuff my old 3 d cell maglite into it and it did hold it, though thats a heavy large light, and i dont think its ideal for something that big. It seemed to have over stretched the elastic a tiny bit as my mini mag fits a little looser now, but there have been no problems with it retaining the light at all during my rather physically active use at work. It can be used equally well from either end, though it deffinitely has a balance preference due to the placement of the belt clip off center. Just an observation not a complaint. It will work in nearly any position but it just like some more than others. Its light and durable feeling. The belt clip is the thing i actually like most and least about this. That may be just a matter of getting used to it but let me explain. Its a very high retention belt clip bit can be removed without opening the belt. It has a retention swell in the outer side of the clip and on the inner ( part that goes beind the belt) side, it has a retention hook. That hook is about 75% of a circle and nearly meets the edge of the swell on the other side. You could get picked up and shook upside down vigorously and the light might fall out of the holster, but that holster isnt comming off your belt unless its torn off. You have to really WANT to get it off your belt, and its a bit of a wrestle the first few times you try. If you have some dexterity issues, you might as well consider this a closed belt loop design because you probably wont be able get this off without opening your belt and sliding it off. It would be possible to remove some of the hook part to make it easier though you might be careful in how you do that. The rotating aspect to the clip is very nice as it allows for a range of carry positions and its fairly stiff in its indexed positions. It has seven indexes 12, 130, 430, 6, 730, 9, and 1030 relative to the clockface. The elastic seems to be kinda the weak point if there is one. Im going start taking the light out of it at the end of the day and letting it rest to see if that help it feel stronger when i put the light back in. Deffinitely worth the money spent. Useful and durable, which is what i have come to expect from Nite Ize. I own several of their products and have never been dissatisfied with one.

Good

When you use it first time ues its tight, but after a run i realized it can extend further (diameter). Because of that i had to tie it to the holster when running. My flashlight light was bare minimal fit, but after running around it extended further than described ~ little less than 1/4” more.

Works great for selfie stick

I took a punt on this for my Insta360 selfie tripod as this said it would handle larger torches. Well it paid off, it fits the Insta360 stick snugly and it does not move, it is easy to put in and take out again and fits onto my camera waste belt with ease. it is very secure on hte belt and I will probably buy another to just leave on the bag permanently. It does swivel which is great so it will move into place and not always stab you in the side etc.

Musicians only - I didn't buy this to hold a torch, but to hold keyless flutes

I’m usually short of hands in sessions, or moving between spots at acoustic gigs, and wanted a way to avoid the ‘trundle, trundle THUNK’ of musical tubes going walkabout off pub tables, or the hassle of constantly digging instruments out of different cases when mobile. This works beautifully with the larger heads of the high D and alto A flutes made by Carbony and also grips one of their thin but tapered C whistles firmly. Even a parallel-sided MK whistle in A is gripped securely. The fitting locks into 8 positions, so straight down is good for processing, or a jaunty 45º angle is available for those of a more romantic/historical disposition, and the clip allows the holder to be fitted without removing the belt, so avoiding the risk of malfunctions in the wardrobe department. It could also offer possibilities attaching it to a guitar, backpack or other straps.

Sturdy and functional

Very well made and sturdy , I work on the railway and must carry a signalling torch at all times , this holder clips onto my trouser pocket and I hardly know I am carrying a torch with me at all , excellent !

Great at first…

I’ve had this for just over 2 months and unfortunately it has lost its elasticity. I’m sure it’s great for larger torches, but it is not so great for smaller torches that can fit all the way through it. I’m having to constantly check to see if my torch is still there! It’s only a matter of time until I lose another one!
