Very good quality. Shade rings sit loose on glass. Stay in place good but could slip easily. Won’t fall off but would have liked them permanently attached.

I needed a light fixture for the kitchen to upgrade the old one since we upgraded the rest of our kitchen in this 1956 home. My dilemma was that the old fixture had two light bulbs hidden inside a frosted glass and didn't throw sufficient light in the kitchen. When you were working at the kitchen counters, you were creating your own shadows on your work which was annoying, especially on cloudy days or in the evenings when it was dark outside. I selected this light fixture for the three light fixtures with exposed bulb areas to throw light to the areas in my kitchen that needed it. I love the silver finish and the marbled frosted glass. My kitchen has white upper walls with light pine on the lower portion of the walls and pine flooring and white cabinets and when you turn this light on now at night, the entire kitchen area where my countertops are located is now very well light up. The light bounces off the white and it makes for a very nice work area when you are cooking or cleaning in the kitchen. Not mentioned in the description of the light is whether it will take fluorescent light bulbs which are the only kind of light bulbs we use in our home, we are very energy conscious and try to keep all our utility bills down as low as we can. I emailed the seller and got this response back: "This fixture uses (3) 60 Watt Medium Based Bulbs. That means they are the regular incandescent bulbs. You can use CFL bulbs, as long as they have a medium base and are not any longer than the incandescent bulbs. Let us know if you have any further questions."Livex Lighting 8108-91 Home Basics 3 Brushed Nickel Flush Mount with White Alabaster Glass I thanked her for the response and suggested they upgrade the descriptions to show that their fixture will take fluorescents and then ordered this fixture. Many homes (at least I hope) have switched over to fluorescent light bulbs and would need this information before ordering. I now do not have to add additional lighting to light up areas in the kitchen (like under cabinet lights, over the stove lights, etc.). This worked out perfectly. My husband installed it (that man can do anything) and installation was easy. So, yes, I am very pleased with this light fixture and would recommend it.

Horrible product design; can't assemble!

Extremely flawed design--the frosted glass shades do not have a "lip" for the screws to attach to, thereby rendering the product useless! Impossible to attach the glass shades to the unit! I am very confused as to how this product got such good reviews. I will be contacting customer service and returning this ASAP. Please see my attached photo. Do not purchase this!!

perfect for our walk in closet

Needed more light and more styel in our walk in closet. This is perfect. Looks nice and very bright. Is flush mounted so dont put it where you want some hang. I am very happy with it. Easy to put up and looks great.

light fixture review

Was looking for something economical to opererate and get away from the round flourescent tubes and starters. So we purchased one of these lights and put 3 13 watt instant on bulbs that each one equal a 60 watt bulb. Gives us plenty of light in one half of the kitchen, so we purchased another one for the other end of the kitchen. Love them. We have more light than we did with the other light fixtures. I would reccomend this light for someone who wants to light up a bigger area, with some control over the light direction. The seller was quite prompt on delivery.

Buying this product is a waste of time

Defective glass shade design because there is no lip/ridge to secure the frosted shade to the plate assembly. The decorative metal rings do not snap in place, nor adhere to the glass shade. I ordered two, and both light fixtures had identical problems. Buying this product is a waste of time.

Dear Amazon, You get 10 stars from me for customer service. I bought this lamp a few months ago. Because I was sick I could not install the lamp right away. When I opened the box I noticed that two of the alabaster glasses were broken. I wrote to Amazon just to let them know that they were broken. Amazon told me that this lamp is no longer available. After two weeks, I was pleasantly surprised to receive a new Livex Lighting from Amazon. I liked the lamp very much. It is perfect for my kitchen. Thank you, thank you, thank you Amazon.
