Fell apart.
The sole started coming apart and they started to split on the sides. They are not worth buying. We've tried 4 different times. My husband likes the brand or what they used to be. He wanted to make sure it just wasn't a fluke that they were falling apart 2 or 3 weeks after wearing them. He tried 4 times. We won't be trying a 5th time.

Couldn't handle a 4 hour workday???
I was pretty happy with the shoes out of the box. Even though they weren't steel-toed, I didn't feel a thing when my brother dropped his 12 lb bowling ball on it. Walked around in them for a bit and I thought, "Man, there's a lot of room in these!" I didn't think of this as a con at the time, but when I decided to take them for a work day, my feet started sweating after only 2 hours. Then after 4 hours I started noticing that the lovely support I had on the ball of my feet began to swoop deeper and deeper into the sole. My toes were beginning to point upwards, if that makes sense, which made the shoes uncomfortable to wear. I trucked through the night, but as soon as I got home I inspected the insides of the shoes and sure enough the support was done. It's like as if they caved in on the pressure and weight of my feet?! I'm 5'10'' and weigh 150 lbs, and I don't think it was me. I really want to say that this is just a defect that could have been found from any shoemaker, and that others will not have my experience with these shoes. I have owned previous Lugz boots, in the past, and they have been in action for 2 & 1/2 years and counting. I can see these shoes being perfect for anyone with thick feet and a job that is located in a cold, outdoor setting. Just not suitable for me, who spends most of his time indoors working on AMF Bowling machines.

they did great then. Wore out the soles cause I walk ...
Bought a pair of these about two years ago for work, they did great then. Wore out the soles cause I walk a lot at work so bought some Dockers that cost twice the price and at first caused blisters on my ankles. Wore those in and I'd say the Dockers aged better (soles aren't cracked unlike my last pair of these lugs). However the comfort of these Lugz is insane. I explained it to my buddy- it feels like I'm walking on pillows. lol Plenty of support while still being soft and comfy. For that reason a lone I like these a lot more than the Dockers I previously had. They're cheaper than the Dockers (considerably) and likely wont last as long, but that comfort! Probably gonna' pickup another pair just for kicking around the house.

Awesome
these shoes shipped very quickly. it only took a couple days to break them in and now they are really comfortable. they seem really durable. they have water and oil spilled on them several times a day, but just take a rag, wipe them off and they look good as new. As for being slip resistant they slide a little on wet floors, but it doesn't feel like you're going to fall, definitely more slip resistant than regular shoes or boots. UPDATE:12-31-11 I just got rid of these shoes about a month ago, but that was mostly due to the smell and i didn't need them anymore. I had them for about ten months and they were still in one piece. they lasted longer my last pair of similarly-priced slip resistant shoes (they lasted six months), not to mention much better looking and waterproof.

First time trying Lugz and so far I am satisfied
Had them for about a month now...so far so good ...I put a thin memory foam insert and the shoe is very comfortable. I read reviews that the leather upper peels off easily or the sole may easily separate but so far I have not had this issue (although I don't wear them on a daily basis either). I used to wear the Skechers Alley Cats so this was a change and I am happy I gave them a try. In comparison the overall size was better...I find the Skechers sizing a little too big for me and the tongue part of the Lugz shoe as well as the collar area is far better padded so I don't need to break the shoe in like the Skechers Alley Cats. Overall pleased with this Lugz brand of shoe and do recommend giving them a try. *Update (January 2023) I used my shoes at work for a few months (restaurant line cook). The soles wore down quite fast at that point. As noted by other reviewers, eventually the sole separated from the shoe and it was discovered the sole is not solid rubber (rubber mesh type construction), therefore, air pockets form on the bottom soles once the tread is worn out. This is a rather deceiving method of build quality. I am now trying Skechers again (Sargeant -Verdict 3/4 lace up) which, although does not have as good footbed padding as the Lugz; appears to be built more durable. The Lugz in my opinion, were designed for comfort and style, but they were not built with durability in mind.

Nice shoes that last.
Shoes are great and still looking like the day I got them out of the box. Solid shoe for the cost. Fast shipping and I’d buy again. Zero issues with these shoes.

comfortable
its a great comfortable shoe to stand, or walk around in for 6 hours straight. this is the second time ordering the same shoe from amazon, and this time it came with anti-slip treads... the first pair didn't. this is my 3rd pair of Lugs, and both of my previous pair had the bottom tread separate from the top half near the toe area. and they both lasted just over a year each. still a good shoe

How long a shoe lasts for
This product was not as good as my previous pair of Lugz. The new pair is made of only one piece at the toes. It has already formed a groove where the shoelaces begin. The older pair was made of two pieces sewed together at the front. They lasted about nine years. Robert Noakes
