Essential UV protection and so comfortable the baby will actually ware them
Your biggest question - will an infant actually ware these things. YES. At least in our case and thank goodness. All babies have sensitive eyes; their retinas are not fully formed at birth. Protecting their retinas from UV radiation in the summer is something a conscientious parent should be thinking about as soon as they start taking their baby outside. But, it is even more important for babies with blue eyes because there is little melanin in the iris. Melanin is the compound responsible for the color of brown eyes. Melanin in the iris absorbs much of the UV light before it reaches the retina, thus preventing photo-damage. Without melanin, the iris of babies with blue eyes cannot block much UV radiation, which then lands directly on the forming retina. UV radiation damage from a lifetime exposure can lead to macular degeneration, a breakdown of the retina that results in blindness. Blue-eyed people should ware UV protected sunglasses their entire life starting in infancy. We put these glasses on our baby before we walk out the door. The strap is a bit big for a 5 month old, so for now they fit a bit loosely and as she turns her head, she tends to move out of the lenses. But bright sun causes her to turn back into them. This problem will not last long; she will grow into them. But I think they could make a smaller size or make a strap that adjusts down farther. The strap is wide and soft and very easily stretched so it does not seem to cause her any distress. The lenses are dark and the wide bridge accommodates the movement of little noses comfortably. But the best part is she just looks so cool. I mean with these things on she is the most stylin' baby in all of Manhattan.

Super Duper Cute! Prepare for Lots of Attention...
I really do like this. Because they are a little large, I almost returned them, but they were just so cute on him that I decided to keep them. Plus, we had a vacation planned that involved a lot of time outside and even though he was under a canopy, he is a little light sensitive and I wanted him to be comfortable. The glasses were just barely able to fit comfortably and securely on his face. They are too big for a newborn. Our little guy is 4 months old and he has a pretty big head and the glasses were still almost too big. If his head was any smaller, they would surely have kept falling off. The band around the head is super soft, flexible, and comfortable. There is slight stretch but not so much that the fall off easily. They stayed on pretty securely. He seemed comfortable in them. He didn't dig or paw at them while wearing them. We got a LOT of attention when he was wearing them - especially from toddlers and young children that would tug on their mom's sleeve and say "Mom! Look at the baby in his little glasses!" while they excitedly pointed at our stroller. They are most definitely adorable. My only word of caution is that you should keep them either on or off. You can't put them up on your little ones brow (like you would your own sunglasses) or they will leave red marks where the bridge of the nose is. I discovered this when I pushed them up briefly when we were inside of a building.

not perfect, but still worth it!
The dark lenses are amazing for blocking out UV rays and they are super adorable to boot (from the front atleast) now for the "not perfect" part.....the band does have a GIANT "babybanz" logo on the back that, as previously stated and I find to be the most accurate description, turns your child into a walking billboard. I seriously doubt that anyone in the Raybanz family is that hard up for cash that they needed to turn innocent children into advertisements. The other issue I have is that the band velcros right behind the ear, making it a bulk behind the childs ear and causing it to push the ear forward. For a 3 month old+ baby who is developing, this can cause an issue, I had to over compensate to keep her ear from being permanently pushed out by keeping headbands on her 24/7 that I could place on her ear to push it back into position. I'm not 100% sure that these are the only reason for it, but it was only on the one side. Now, having said that, living in the south, and the intense sun gets REALLY bad and all the window tinting, and stick up additional covers etc. just arent enough when you want to protect your little one's eyes from the sun. My daughter really does seem ok with them, and we've had them for about 2 months now and she doesnt fuss when we put them on. Oh, and they will leave a little indention on the nose, but it goes away, and really, what pair of affordable sunglasses DON'T leave a mark on the nose? Overall, I recommen these for the necessity of it, but I hope that the company reads these reviews and revamps their product. The potential is there....but so is room for improvement :)

Very cute, exactly as described.
I put these on my 6 month old son (who is about 18 pounds now and not quite 50 percentile in his weight and head circumference) and these fit wonderfully, with plenty of room to grow. I have only had them about 2 weeks and used them 3 or 4 times now at the pool or just outside, he didn't like them the first time I put them on (he was tired and I was adjusting them so it was aggravating him I think), but every time since then he has been just fine. I am sure he enjoys the sun being out of his eyes, I sure do! They fit snugly against his face so sun doesn't come in from the side of the glasses, and they stay on well. We have already received several compliments in just 1 or 2 visits to the community pool. I gave it 4 stars due to it's quality: The velcro seems like with many uses it may start pulling off the actual band, and the frame and lens are really light-weight and cheap feeling (although I guess you wouldn't want anything somewhat heavy..). I just hope they last him 2 years! Maybe I will remember to come back and update my review by then. The velcro strip is plenty long enough to adjust to his growth. Over-all I am happy with this purchase and think it is a great buy for the price!

Small fit
These are cute but a bit small. They say for 6 months - 2 years but they just barely fit my 8 month old. They will probably be too small in a few months.

To big
These would be much better if they were adjustable on both sides. My daughter is 4 months and they are still way to big.

We thought they would work well....
Product itself is as described, but my infant son completely HATES them. The moment we even come close to his face with these sunglasses, he starts swinging and crying. When we first put it on him, he couldn't get them off easily, which is why we bought these particular type of sunglasses. But that triggered a major breakdown that still gives me occasional nightmares. It is a bit of a snug fit around the head, so maybe he didn't like the pressure, but it wasn't tight on him, and you could easily fit an adult baby finger under the strap. We will likely pass them on to someone else that may be able to use them, as long as their child doesn't have a meltdown either! We ended up just using hats on our son, and ensuring that his face was in the shade as much as possible. When he is a little older we will try the regular child size sunglasses and hope he has not been forever traumatized by experiencing these ones.

Great idea and these looked nice, but my baby would not keep them on.

Good product, but sometimes it does not stay in the baby's face.
