Not Great Pair of Sunglasses

These are nice glasses. I bought them to replace a more expensive pair that I once had and shattered. Good thing, because I shattered this pair in about two months and bought them again. Update: I had originally given these sunglasses a higher review, but since that point decided to come back and changed my rating. In total, I have purchased four pair of these sunglasses. I wore my first pair for six months before I completely shattered them (which was completely my fault), but the last three pair have broken fairly quickly after just normal daily use (all within 3 months of each other). I thought the second broken pair might have been me just being rough on them (so I went ahead and purchased two more pair to be have one in reserve), but the last two pair broke within weeks of each other. These last three pair have broken in the exact same spot either to the right or to the left of the bridge. The glasses are a little thin in this spot, but with three pair breaking in the exact same spot, I would guess there is some kind of defect here, either in the design or material used. The more expensive pair of glasses these replaced, I had used for over 7 years and only had to have them fixed once during that time. I went with these cheaper glasses in case I broke them again, but have ended up spending just as much on the four pair as I originally did the expensive pair glasses I had, and did so in a little less than 9 months time.

Excellent buy for the money

I bought these glasses after having lost two pairs of far more expensive ones during one week at the beach. I was in the market for a pair of functional, polarized sunglasses which fit my large face and didn't cost so much that I'd worry if I broke or lost them. That's exactly what I got. The optical quality is good--everything is clear and sharp through the lenses. The lenses' tinting is a little off to my eye: it's almost as though they were brown-tinted rather than grey. However, I can overlook that imperfection. They fit my face well, even though I usually have to buy large-framed sunglasses. And I got them for far less money than I have paid for decent polarized sunglasses in the past. I wear them for mowing the lawn, going to the beach, and doing other outdoorsy activity. I had to buy two pairs to get the free supersaver shipping, but now that means I'm even less concerned if I lose or break one. If I were buying one pair of sunglasses which were going to serve me for all-day driving and all other activities, I'd invest more in a high-quality designer pair of sunglasses (and in fact I do own a pair of Maui Jims for such uses). But these are great for those times when you really don't want to risk hundreds of dollars on the whims of nature.

Awesome Polarized Glasses for the Money!

I have been purchasing these sunglasses for over 10 years. I live in sunny Florida where I wear sunglasses every day and after all the pairs of Sunglasses I have purchased, these are by far my favourite. Perfect Weight, Stay on even in water and most importantly, the quality of the polarized lenses are incredible for the money. I have top name polarized sunglasses and have paid significantly more for them, however, they cost significantly more and do the same job. For the money, these are a GREAT buy!!!

Excellent for fishermen

If you are a fisherman you need these. Their polarization allows you to see into the water much better than with most other sunglasses- even my $150 Oakley's. I can see fish in the water, and the all-important underwater structure. For this low price I expected they would scratch easily, but they do not. I thought a second pair in case I lose the first pair.

These are the most comfortable design that Sea Striker makes. They are great for all activities including motorcycle riding. The polarized lens allows for excellent clarity.

These are my 'go-to' glasses. Stand up to everyday use and are inexpensive enough that I can just order another pair if someone borrows them/I lose them...

Seems like the piece that rests on your nose is off ...

Had these for a very long time now. Held up well but got sick of them and ended up wearing my old pair. They never really fit right from the start. Seems like the piece that rests on your nose is off center so they look and feel noticeably lopsided.

Husband loves them.

Husband's FAVORITE. I keep these in my wishlist so when he needs a new pair, I can go get them quick. They are well made, just hubs is tough on sunglasses (travels a lot)

Not a good fit for me

The shape of the 254 sit too high on the nose and don’t provide a seal on the bottom of the lenses—i.e. you can look down and see between your cheeks and the sunglasses.
