Great Smart Home Addition

I switched out almost all of the in-wall switches in our house to the Lutron Caseta Wireless products. I have the following in my system: Caseta Wireless Hub Dimmers On Off Switches Plug-in Lamp Controllers Remotes The low voltage control is somewhat tricky, our house has LED ceiling lights but since I didn't install them I don't know the specifications. When we turn any light on or off with these switches it blinks and then turns on. One switch died within a week of installation. The rest are going strong just about two years since I installed them. The smart control is integrated with Google Home, the app to control these is proprietary but integrates well. We have close to 30 switches now, and they are located on four different floors. The controller is in the basement. I've never had any issues with control delays from the app. Very rarely the app will be non responsive but it is easily resolved by restarting and doesn't recur much. I really love the remotes. You can add control in more places and more convenient places. You can also tie the remote to multiple devices so you can control many devices with the same remote. The price is quite high, but the quality is pretty good. I wish I had purchased some warranty to replace the one that died on me. At least it's in the basement.

Amazing switches, don't buy from warehouse

Love these switches. Very reliable and probably the best smart switches available. But don't buy them from Amazon Warehouse deals. I tried to save a few bucks buying warehouse deals and ended up with someone's old switches (not the Lutron smart switches)

Easy to use

Simple to install. Had purchased a cheaper version and had to return it. Glad I got these next. Frustration free for me - worth the extra $.

Lutron has always worked very well for me. Installation was difficult but that was only be because of the socket it was working with. Once installed it’s worked flawlessly ever since as usual

I like the functionality, but they should be less expensive

I previously installed several smart switches (same brand/model), so I am just adding to the home automation. These are easy to install, easy to use, integrate nicely with alexa/siri. I like the fact that they are digitally dimmable for interior lighting. I feel like Lutron should be selling these for about 30% less, just based off what sells in the smart switch market. I can't really compare these to less expensive smart switches though, so I don't know if they are comparable in terms of quality.

Great dimmer lacking basic dimmer setting recall

These are great and if you have a hub or phone app. I have used other Lutron dimmers and they are all great, but this model is lacking the basic function that it will recall what they previous dimmer setting was.. if you have a hub you can turn it on to recall level.. Now the pico device is nice, by why would I want to purchase this to have obtain a memory recall of the dimmer level?? Two device to accomplish the job, nonsense... Again Lutron is great, but for the basic's , not so...

They are the best

I’ve been using Lutron Caseta products for years. We had some new recessed lights installed in two of our bedrooms so I needed some more switches. As always, they are easy to install, easy to setup, work great with Apple Homekit and I never have problems with the Caseta switches. I have almost 30 Caseta products installed in my house and they just work. I’ve tried other less expensive products in the past and had such horrible experiences that I decided I was only going to use Lutron. You might pay more for Caseta products than you do other products but they are well worth it. I don’t want to tinker with and troubleshoot my home technology products. I want them to just work and work well. Lutron’s Caseta line does just that.

They work

These work great. Never any issues in 2 plus years. I just wish using the dimmer was easier. When it’s dark and you can see the switch and you’re feeling around it’s a bit clumsy.

It needs its own bridge (sold separatly) for smart features.

It needs its own bridge (sold separatly) for smart features. It will refuse to work with other bridges. It does not work with Google or Alexa, it is the bridge that works with Alexa and Google. But it does work well without a neutral and does not require a capacitance.

Only works with alexa if you buy the smartbridge.

I bought this because I wanted be able to control the lights with alexa which it boasts about. It wasn't clear until after I got it that you can only do that if you also buy the smart bridge. I did and works well but was misleading.
