Removing old plastic and installation instructions
This product is a perfect fit the proper sized Pella screen frame. Nate that the size described is the full outer dimension, cross-section of the frame, including the spline channel. Removing the old frame corners can be accomplished very easily. I could not find instructions for this, so I invented my own technique. The attached photos guide you through the process. First, heat the ends of the frame pieces with a heat gun long enough to soften the old plastic frame corner pieces. Be careful because the aluminum frame obviously gets hot. Next screw a self-tapping deck screw into the softened plastic then tug and wiggle the old plastic piece out. To reassemble frame insert the frame corners (opened side towards the screen splint side), then simultaneously insert both frame corners into the two longer side pieces. Carefully flip the frame (without stressing the corners too much) and repeat that inset process o the other side. Voila! Fully repaired screen frame. -Al

Good Corner pieces
They work great to replace my old 1980's Pella window screen corners.

It Worked
It was difficult pulling the broken corners from the screens. Once they were removed it was easy to install the new corners. Just be aware that you will need to remove the some of the rubber that holds the screen in place to be able to get the corners in. Once that is accomplished, you will need to press the screen and rubber back into the groove. There is a tool you can purchase from Amazon to help get the rubber back in the groove. I already had that tool.

A great repair item
These screen corner pieces are just what I needed to fix a dozen window screens that were coming apart. They fit perfectly and are a perfect mimic for the old ones that were originally there. It was a struggle removing the old broken pieces but a needle nose pliers to remove the embedded, broken off part of the corner piece without the expanded end attached did the job. Once the old pieces were out these new corners slid in and worked like a charm. I didn't buy enough the first time around so had to order a second batch. These corners saved me a lot of money in replacement or repair expenses. They arrived quickly and the job is all done.

These are great. We purchased a home that had 30 year old Pella Windows that are in great shape but the screens were broken at the corners. I thought this issue was going to cost hundreds or thousands to replace the screens. With these pieces and a spline tool we are able to repair all screens for less than $2 a window. So happy this worked well.

These corners do not fit all frame patterns.
I repair my broken frames. I would have thought that these plastic pieces would be less expensive, But it certainly was cheaper and faster than rebuilding the frames.
