Fits perfectly. Shows dirt and scuffs very easily.
Marmot is my go-to brand for outdoor equipment and apparel, so I knew these pants would be great quality. The fit is perfect on me (6'3" 250 lbs). The only complaint I have is that the fabric shows any dust or dirt on it very easily.

Love inseam, water resistance, and stretchy warmth
+ Good inseam length: These days, an easy distinguisher of quality as opposed to lazy manufacturing is inseam length. At 6’1”, I’m above average but hardly unusually tall, but going by how difficult it is to find long enough inseam on pants that come in “standard” sizes (S,M,L etc. as opposed to specific tailored measurements like 29x32), you’d think I’m Shaq’s grand daddy. These Scree pants pleasantly have a 32” inseam as advertised. + Lightweight warmth: The pants are also water resistant and feel warm even though they are thin and the lining inside feels more like patterned fleece thread stitching rather than an actual layer of fleece, yet it feels warm enough on its own for 40F+ fall/spring weather and lower with an appropriate base layer. The warm feeling despite the lightness makes me think they would be fairly wind resistant as well though I haven’t actually tried them outside in wind. + Good material: The stretchy feeling is nice and makes them feel more like softshell as opposed to tarpaulin. I much like the combination of stretchiness and breathable water resistance. * Straight non-slim fit: The pants are slightly on the flabbier side along the side of the hips even with a base layer underneath but I’m not sure if it’s because of the side folded crease they came with that will probably take a wash to eliminate. In any case, they are not so loose as to look silly on athletic folks. They fit like straight fit (not slim fit) trousers, which is a pity as they could’ve been given a more flattering slimmer look given that the material is stretchy if needed anyway. On the plus side, the trapped air might improve breathable warmth. The fit also allows these to be pulled over khakis or jeans on a wet cold day or to be worn like almost-pants if etiquette permits. + Great water resistance: I’m not much of a hiker and bought these pants for outdoor activities on wet cold days, specifically running. I don’t do anything outdoors when it’s pouring like crazy, so I just need decent water resistance for light drizzles off and on for which the DWR on these pants seems promising based on home tests at least: holding the outside leg material horizontally under a running tap for ~10 seconds felt like nothing stuck even to the surface and the interior lining was dry. I happen to also be a cyclist but wouldn’t use these for cycling as they have too much flare compared to cycling-specific bottoms, especially at the ankles that I can’t seem to tighten. But I would very much use these for skiing with a base layer underneath. - The draw cord at the bottom seems a bit useless in that pulling it seems to tighten the ankles but there seems to be no way to keep the cord anchored in that position with the little bead strung along the cord; or maybe their bead technology is too complicated for me, so it will keep getting loose over time. * Reasonable price on sale: Without a discount, the MSRP on these seems rather high for being nylon/elastane pants, but they are good value on 50% sale I got. Would love a summer version of these pants with the same super-DWR material but without the warm fleece lining.

Features missing.
Great trousers but for some reason mine don't have the zips on the ankles as described or the M logo on the right leg oddly. I'm a size 33 to 34. Somebody said these run big but nope I had a 32 and just get away with it.

Great soft shell trousers especially for tall people
Really impressed with these. Made of the thicker material like the highland pants but with a more athletic fit like the arch rock pants. Very durable, light and water resistant. If you are tall like me then I recommend as I struggle with all other brands.

Bad sizing
Size ridiculously large. Ordered 30 small, more like 33 medium. Other than that, fine.
