Great jacket except for the hood.
Great warm coat. Too bad they removed the elastic loops they used to have: to keep the hood on your head. This one will never stay on! Bad decision, Marmot.

Watch Out For Used and Damaged Jackets
The good: - The jacket is soft and warm. - The material isn't loud. - The removable fur hood - The chevron stripes- it's cute. The good to know: - It is tighter around the chest/back area and I'm a pretty standard size M/6 and took the advice of other reviews and ordered a Large. - I think the Medium would be too tight around chest/back, especially since I'm wearing it with sweatshirts. - I'm 5'9" and it comes down right over my knees. The awful: - The reason for 3 stars is because I have had to order this jacket 4 times now. - First time, the price dropped right after I bought it. - Second time, it came used with multiple stains and did not have the new clothing tag on the inside. I also noticed some white feathers coming out but maybe because it is used? - Third time, also missing new tag (but looked better on the inside) and the zipper was stuck halfway down. I was able to finally release it but then realized it has melted plastic on the bottom of the jacket! Maybe it is just bad luck with the red color? I just ordered a new one in black. I hope this one works out. Otherwise ,I will be giving up on this brand and will try something else. I've never had anything come so used and gross. For $300+ I think that's just unacceptable.

Nice Warm Coat That Could Use a Couple Small Design Tweaks
I bought this coat to use when I visit up north in the cold weather. It is very warm. However, it could use a couple of small design tweaks. First, it runs small, so I had to go up a size from Large to XLarge. This is because it is tight across the bust area, and also across the hips. Second, I have found with MANY designers of XL sizes, that they tend to make the length of the sleeves and skirts/pants so much longer. WHY?? Just because someone is a bit larger than average, it does NOT mean their arms are down to their knees, or that their legs are a foot longer. It just means they are bigger around the torso. The XL of this coat has extra long sleeves, down to my fingers, and is extra long in the length, so that it falls below my knees. This is the reason for the 4 stars.

Warm warm warm!
Generally happy with this purchase (happily it was on sale), considering my initial intention was one of those pricey Canada Goose ones. So far the coat seems to have withstood below freezing temperatures and wind chill in Chicago pretty well. With a sweater and long-sleeved t-shirt underneath I didn't feel anything walking against the wind at -11C/12F. I'm 5'4'' and the coat came to just below my knees. The hood gave much needed warmth to the ears and did not really hinder my vision. Because I have a bad back, the weight of the coat is slightly heavy for me when I wear it standing/walking for long stretches, but it's not unbearable given how insulating the coat is.

Finally a warm BUM!
I live in a winter wonderland, and I was tired of a cold bum. This coat is lovely. It hits almost to my knees, the 700 down fill is super warm, and the exterior is nice. I don't love the shell portion - feels like a down sleeping bag on the outside, but it's totally fine. We don't usually have wet snow, just cold, dry snow, so I haven't tested the water-resistance. I'm 5'8", narrow build (140, small chest, narrow-ish hips, belly of a mom that's had 4 kids). I bought a medium. It fits so nicely compared to other coats I've tried (I have many - see winter wonderland comment above). Full arm articulation, no tightness through the body. It's super warm, and I've been almost too hot in 20F weather, but since it will only be colder, I love it. I also like the soft cuffs and that the lining isn't super cold when putting it on like some other coats I've tried. Those cold lining coats are worse than climbing into non-flannel sheets in the winter - WHY WOULD ANYONE DO THAT TO GOOD PEOPLE?? My two minor complaints which are bearable for the cost savings compared to the more expensive options, are how narrow the walking space is when fully zipped - I feel like I'm walking in a tightish mini-skirt, not a normal thing for this farmgirl. But I can unzip up the bottom to improve movement, just a bit inconvenient to do before climbing into the car. And my other complaint is that the zipper takes a few tries to seat itself so it's not the smoothest zip up experience. I tried a Land's End coat that fit terribly, both potential sizes - way too small and way too big (S/M). Then I tried another mid-thigh option but it was lacking fill power and just wasn't warm enough. My husband also vetoed both other coats for being too frumpy too, but he liked the chevron pattern and design on this one. More importantly, he said I looked a lot warmer. I also don't dig the furry hood trim, so that got taken off pretty quickly - like in five minutes. It might go back on if weather gets nasty, as it is prone to do.

Definitely more of a European-Sized coat, ideal for tall and thin
Very nice style and quality appears good. Simply cut small, ideal for tall and thin ladies.

AWESOME jacket for sub-zero temps
I can't say enough about this super warm, comfy jacket. It has stood up to some arctic weather (Minnesnowta) and kept my freeze-baby self quite cozy. It feels like I'm wearing a giant sleeping bag. I have never owned such a warm, cozy jacket in my life. Worth EVERY penny!!!

Best Canadian Winter Jacket
Nice down coat. Really warm and perfect length for a long jacket. Really appreciate the double zipper so that if I want more leg room, I can have it.

Amazing coat
Absolutely amazing coat, I think it's probably the best I've ever owned. It feels so soft, is lightweight enough that you don't overheat but warm and cosy enough to keep you warm. I've just worn it in awful rain and stayed nice and dry. Fits true to size and is so flattering on. The only negative I could find is the hood is abit big and I have to hold it out of my face. But the coat is so amazing Its not really an issue. If your considering this coat, buy it! I hope it will last me many years :)

So glad I chose purple !
Wow - only received this week. I always wanted a coat that doesn't skim my bum and this goes to my knees (5'4). It not really that cold in the UK to test out for winter weather, but rain no problem at the moment. Deep pockets for keys, phone and poo bags! The only negative thing is I would like poppers and a zip rather than doing the zip up everytime. Now I want it to be freezing ❄☃️

My new favourite coat!
This is currently my favourite coat; it feels soft, lightweight and warm. Other reviews said they had a problem with the zip but mine is fine; it’s just back to front for me but you get used to it. The coat has a lifetime garentee for the zip if it breaks or sticks anyway. I love the soft lining and the long length. The only thing I would change is the cuffs being tighter and the neck being more padded to make it more snug but that is not a big deal as a scarf or wearing a polo neck jumper solves that problem. The coat is warm; I was in search of the warmest mid priced range coat I could find. I have really feel the cold and find i need an extra jumper underneath in anything colder than 3oc but I bought the size large although I am a size medium(12) to accommodate this and it’s a perfect fit.
