Excellent locks. But

The locks are great but my mistake was not reading the description. Every matched key lock set I’ve bought have had 2 keys per lock the set only had 2 pre set. My error so $24 later I had 6 more Keyes made I need them when I got them so I didn’t send them back.

Good quality, but shackle length not for everything

Really well made. The shackle length and shape, however, may not be ideal for all applications. I wanted to use both of them to secure the gates on my property, but one gate mechanism simply doesn't have enough clearance for the long shackle. The shackle isn't perfectly round either (to resist cutting), so be aware that the hole needs to be just a bit larger than a round shackle to fit. These are very robust and seem to be weather resistant so far. My comments about the shackle length should not dissuade you from purchasing them, but be aware of the type of application for which they may or may not be suitable. With plenty of clearance and no obstruction around the lock or latch area, these are a great choice.

great lock but... amazon fulfillment sucks... not really but yes....

So.. The lock is AWESOME! But I bought 9 sets to lock up 9 company trucks... What I got was what you see in the picture. I cant use these. How long do you think it will take for an employee to figure out their key from truck #5 works on truck #2? This is the whole reason for the locks! The frustrating part is I called amazon to simply ask is there a way to 7 of these and get 7 different key code locks or if that is two difficult if we need to just return all 9 sets of locks and put in a new order with the request when pulled from the rack they are all different key codes. Of course... broken english... doesn't understand what im trying to explain and im trying to reword this phrase so many times i feel like im speaking in tongues. Amazon rep wants to call manufacture - I try to tell him why? there is nothing wrong with the lock this is a fullfilment issues, amazon issue... not manufacture.... Sat on hold for a few mins - came back saying he cant get ahold of them and can he get back with me... tried the whole manufacture isnt at fault here we need to take care of it between me and amazon and got the normal "yes yes i understand yes yes i call you back please".... So this is where I say ok sir, thank you for your help and we part ways... now as I manually setup a return through my account screen here and plan a trip to home depot I write this review.... Im not mad, im not leaving 1 star review just because i can... I simply wanted to put this out there just in case there is other companies looking to lock things up and control the keys... Somethings just CANT be done online. We still need brick and motors.

Never had one fail

I own 7 of these locks, one by it's self, two keyed alike and a 4 pack keyed alike, tough locks is all I can say. Perfect, no, worth the money, yes. I use the 4 keyed alike along with a locking cable in the back of my work truck to secure my tool boxes , jerry can and generator. As an Electrician I depend on my tools to fix your problems. The other locks I use at the house to secure other things that seem to wander off, along with a grade 70 chain. Locks are to keep those tempted by an easy opportunity away.

Solid locks but only 2 keys in 4 lock pack

Seem well made and secure locks, and available larger 2 1/2” loops useful for use with heavier chains and door fasteners. Given their size, they are pretty heavy, a good thing but be warned any setup using them and an equally secure chain is going to weigh a lot. Reason for only 3 stars is that although the 4 locks included are keyed alike, the package only includes 2 keys - pretty chintzy penny pinching for name brand like Masterlock!

Heavy duty locks

There are heady duty locks. Only down side is just 2 identical keys are include. They seem a bit tight to insert the key. Tip: Once you get the keys, unlock the locks and they will be released easily.

Record time to Malfunction

We installed a security chord on kayaks/roof top carrier and secured it with three of these locks at various points. Within 5 times of using it, one became impossible to insert the key into and therefore release the locking mechanism. Graphite in the key hole and tiny holes on the lock itself did not work; oil did not work. After 2 hours I can safely say that once this lock is removed by someone we will never buy another MASTER lock again. And for all the time it has taken us to deal with this issue, we have lost precious hours on the water. Master Lock - you need to do better!
