What can I say? It’s the best blender you can get. A little more quiet than the cheaper variant vitamix. I like the simplicity of this model and in white looks great on the kitchen counter.

Best Blender Ever

Bought my first Vitamin blender in the year 2009 and used it at least once every day, many times twice per day and sometimes three times per day. It does a better job than any other blender that I have owned. It still works fine, however, I just wanted a new blender so I purchased the top-of-the-line Vitamin in the color red knowing it will outlast me. And as expected, It does a fantastic job.

Love Vitamix!

Great Blender!! The only thing negative about this description is that it advertises "Low Profile" which I read made it a little lower to fit under cabinets. But this was exactly the same size I bought probably 10 years ago for myself. (This was a gift.) So it won't fit completely assembled under normal cabinets. Also, there was no description that said it came with tamper, so I bought one separately. It does come with a tamper, so I had to return the one I bought.

Mixing a smoothie one day, I heard an odd 'crunching' sound...and upon inspecting it, found someone had placed the clear plastic piece that goes in the center of the blender lid inside my smoothie. Oops! After taking it out, cleaning, etc., the blender was making an ugly sound in protest. Called up VitaMix support, they identified the problem in about 30 seconds, and had a new drive socket thingy kit en route to get this replaced. Three days later, it arrived, and while the repair should have been rock simple, in my case I couldn't get the socket replaced - so they sent me mailing labels and instructions to mail the blender to their service center. Normally, sending anything in to a service center is a recipe for frustration, and in this case, they warned that with the coronavirus, there might be some processing delays, so I might want to expect my blender to be fixed in 3-4 weeks. But two weeks later, there it was, back at my house, repaired, sounding good as new (my unit is a little worse for wear cosmetically on account of other kitchen mishaps...this is certainly my own unit and not a replacement). To be honest, that sort of makes me proud of VitaMix. I swore I'd stop the 'buy-burn-out-dump-replace' cycle for most appliances and electronic gadgets - but sometimes, 'premium' expensive stuff breaks just as fast as the cheap stuff, so why bother? Well, with Vitamix, I am comfortable that I received what I paid for, and well-satisfied. Impressed.

High quality, reliable blender

Use this every day for green smoothies and it blends to a fantastic consistency. It has no problem blending the ingredients for the smoothie which are spinach, oranges, chia seeds, flax seeds, honey, avocado, blueberry, milk, water, blueberries. It takes about a minute to turn all of these into a smooth consistency. It is also excellent for soups as well. It is loud but very powerful. I always follow the cleaning instructions which are simple. Certainly would recommend. Huge step up from my ninja professional. Got in on a great sale during prime day (~$200 off). Noticed there was another good sale for black friday / cyber monday. if you can wait, I would suggest you do so.

Heavy duty. No Frills.

Have used one for several years, but now living on my own needed to re-acquire. Didn't feel the need for "Interconnectivity" or the Blender being able to communicate with the carafe. So went old school. Love it.

Worth the big bucks

It would be nice if the jug & lid were dishwasher safe, but I still wouldn't trade this blender for any other on the market. We have smoothies for breakfast most mornings & this blender is huge leap up from the cheaper ones we've used in the past. I love the no fuss controls. No stupid programs we'll never use, no app to run it with your phone. Just on & off & a smooth dial that takes it from idle to ludicrous speed. And it does all that without the need of hearing protection. I blew it one morning & put a cup of unpitted cherries into the blender. I thought it was a bit noisier than usual, but didn't pay it much mind. The smoothie ended up a bit grainy, but was still very drinkable. You can add a whole carrot to the mix & there are no little chunks in your drink. It only takes about 40 seconds to reduce most fruit & veg to a smooth consistency. Once I got over the sticker shock, I was very pleased with this blender. We've only had the blender for around six months, so I can't vouch for how long it'll last.

The classic gets better

We had the same model for 15 ish years - it was great - powerful - the new one has fixed a few niggling quirks: it is a bit quieter, the container is a bit wider and a bit lower, so will fit under most upper cabinets (not ours though -missed it by a half inch), and the left hand switch is now for pulsing. The old one was for 'turbo' - and was it ever A couple of times over the years I switched it on by mistake (not all that hard to do) and spent the next hour cleaning smoothie off the walls and ceiling - so I'm personally happy to see the turbo function gone! And now - in cherry red, which adds splashy colour to the counter!
