Almost perfect!
Great overall. The tambourine stick is less safe for the smaller kids. I would think a maraca or something instead of flat metal would be a better Idea. Great though. We just bought both sets and removed the tambourines, triangle and stick and symbols until we knew the kids were able to understand safety. When we added them back it was like getting a new music pack. Every kid is different. Use your best judgement. So great overall!

This kit is awesome., my toddler loves it. Kazoo/harmonica Is not only for games it also helps to strengthen oral motor and speech skills for children who have speech delay.

lots of fun and music to be made with this set
cute little musical set!! we have a nephew that is a toddler. His family as well as ours is very musical so naturally we want to make sure he has all the fun instruments within reach whenever he gets the urge to play. It seems we weren't the only ones that thought he needed music in his life as his parents got him a drum set too. lol. It's going to be a very noisy house there very soon! They also got it there in time for the holidays which meant a LOT to me, since I took too long trying to figure out what I wanted to do for him! I am very pleased with this seller and would order from them again.

All Around Great Set
This set has a great variety of instruments. The instruments aren’t rinky-dinky. They’re actually playable & usable.

Great set, a few things I did not like
Very sturdy. only a few things I did not like about it. The stick used to strike the xylophone was a square block on a long skinny stick. I think if it were round the sound would be better. Also the wooden (I guess finger symbols) were held together with a high grade elastic, but I can see that wearing out at some point. They all had good sounds, the Xylophone was in tune. My son loves playing with it, and it can take the hard beating being given to it.

xylophone is worthless, everything else is fine
We bought this for our son's second birthday. He loves music and we thought this would be perfect. The harmonica is great and he learned to play that quickly. The kazoo he hasn't really taken to yet (almost a year later) but it works fine (although I would have liked it to be finished wood instead of raw since it does get wet being played). The shaker and the castanets are fine - nothing special but work ok. Unfortunately the xylophone is miserable!! I had hoped for a nice xylophone to be able to play simple tunes and scales with him. I don't mind the wood (many high quality professional xylophones are wood) and would even be ok with a "muted" sound as some reviewers described this. But I really hoped for a MUSICAL sound to the xylophone and well this is just a wooden stick hitting wooden slates - I could have made that myself. Looking at the slates they don't appear to be made with any quality control and there is no way to even play a simple scale with this. Unfortunately they are not musical. I had hoped for better from Melissa & Doug but was sorely disappointed with the xylophone.

Fun for all!
My 18 month old loves this set! He isn't able to use the kazoo or harmonica yet, but he loves play the xylophone and shake the tamborine while I play the harmonica. It's fun for the whole family. When I first opened the package I thought it was a little strange that the xylophone is all wood(I was expecting metal bars. It took a little while to get used to the sound of the wooden bars compared with metal. My only complaint is that some of the paint has chipped off of the green bar after a couple weeks of use. Otherwise a great way to introduce your child to the world of instrumental music!

Cheap
It’s nice but the xylophone stick thing cracked and breaking the first week. And baby didn’t even use it enough. It broke from us demoing it! ???? also some of the other items are just not functional

Missing piece
The harmonica was missing from the seven piece set...but I unfortunately missed the return window.

Not worth the money
Not very impressed with this set. The metal bars on the xlyphone are too close together in some cases, and the sound is muffled. The kazoo is useless for my child as he can't him, only blow. The castinets are not very good either. Would not recommend.
